Anyone interested in Killer Klowns, be aware that Wal-mart has an awesome 3-pack of Killer Klowns, Adventures Of Buckaroo Banzai & Spaceballs on their $5 shelf. (Just look for the case that says Astronomy on it and has an Astronaut).

One should also note that many of these titles can have been spotted for $3 at big lots.

Many of these haven't been spotted in any quantity at BL since 2008, so the chances of finding them there now are pretty slim. Though you could check oldies.com. Some of them might be around 2.98 - however the new shipping charge there is 5.98 and there is now NO free shipping minimum. Also check Amazon MP for any title you might be interested in. It might actually be cheaper (even with shipping) than DD.

It should be noted that the Astronomy set has the Special Edition releases as well. It's a hell of a deal!

As has already been mentioned, $15+ orders still ship free. I tend to order far less now due to that. Before I'd order a CD, or DVD every week or two. I don't do that any longer as the $15 minimum for free shipping has stopped lots of impulse purchases on my part.

Included in the sale lot are some vintage Samuel Goldwyn features and a Monogram Charlie Chan flick.

A pretty good sale for the new DD, but nothing for me in this one. Anyway, I have a ton of Big Lots movies from last year waiting to be viewed.

Knowing DD lately, these DVDs will never ship so technically it's still free!!

Never ever again. The shipping changes are now the ultimate insult to injury. I've actually deleted Deep Discount from my browser bookmarks.

I had placed an order last week. Five days later, my shipment arrived sans one back-ordered item, and with free shipping. No problems with DD.

99 cents on a sub-15$ order and free shipping above is the ultimate insult to injury??? True, we were used to free shipping, but this is cheaper than almost any other online retailer I know .. .including Amazon. I can see all those that have had unanswered emails and canceled orders ship being pissed, but their change in shipping policy is not that bad.

So far I have not had any bad experiences with DD, but am still leary about ordering from them. My last order shipped the Monday after my weekend order, so I'm not complaining there. I think all the bad PR though has hurt them since normally if I wait as long as I did for their "good sale" items they are usually OOS.

Likewise, I have always done fine with DD. They just e-mailed me that my back-ordered items from last week came in and has been shipped. Super service.

Although there are bulk rate discounts for media mail, it still costs money to ship, and there's just not that much profit in a single sale-priced DVD. Every company I know of has minimum orders to qualify for free shipping (with the exception of a few sales which are usually on items that have big profits to begin with), so a $15 minimum isn't bad (Amazon is $25).

I just picked up about $60 of stuff from DD through this sale and some other markdowns and most of it appears to have shipped already. And I've never had a problem with them

I got my order from this sale today, and a few of the titles were in pretty rough shape. What has everyone's experience been with Deep Discount regarding their exchange policy?

^ In the past, they would e-mail you a pre-paid label and then credit your payment method when they received your return. Then they billed you for the replacement order whenever it shipped.

I haven't returned anything to DD since they changed ownership, so I don't know if the process is still the same.
