I realize there is a separate thread, but I'd like to point out that there is a Barnes & Noble $20 gift certificate for only $10 @ Groupons right now. Deal is available for two more days. Certicate depreciates in value by $10 after April 10th. Can be redeemed at any store and online.

I purchased one yesterday, but haven't decided if I'm going to spend it on an Anime or manga yet.

    Urusei Yatsura to go out of print on 30-September-2011

    It is with heavy hearts that we must announce that we will be unable to renew our license for Urusei Yatsura. We will be unable to accept orders after the 30th of September, 2011, and individual DVDs will almost certainly become unavailable before that date as our stocks become exhausted.

    So if you've always been meaning to complete your collection of UY, now is the time.

    always wanted to buy the UY series but I hated the way Animego milked it, hopefully the next license holder will treat the series properly and release them in season sets

    Funimation would probably be the only company who would waste their time licensing it in this anime climate.

    The probability of someone re-licensing this franchise is very low considering the age and the length. The TV series is almost 200 episodes, 6 OVAs, and 6 movies (1 of which was originally licensed by CPM). It may not be cheap or easy to re-license either.
