I had a load of Blockbuster credit to burn from some trade-ins, so I decided to venture into the depths that was their website. In short, it has gotten much better. A quick serach for Criterion gave a full listing and the ability to filter on Previously Viewed by price. On top of that, shipping is only 0.25 per item. I ordered Down By Law (Criterion) for $6.74 shipped.

This is hardly the halcyon days of $10 off purchase of $10 or more coupons there, but I've always been happy with what they have sent. A word of warning, you will almost assuredly NOT get the interior liner notes/booklet and would have to replace by buying from Criterion, but I thought it a decent way to fill up the library.

Searches on Blue Underground, Kino, and Homevision had similar results.

how do they arrive? the same as the online rentals, just disc in an envelope, or with coverart?

My first orders arrived yesterday. I forgot to mention that Priority Mail is the same price as Standard (0.25 per movie). Standard was in a padded envelope. Priority was in a Priority Mail box. Got all disks and cover art, but no insert booklets. Happy so far.
