I expect this $9.99 deal to happen because I bought S2 & S3 BDs for $18.99 ea. a few months ago and it's past my return period. :-)

A bigger problem would be supply for a sale. A four hour Lightning Deal doen't mean sh&% if their supply goes in three minutes.

Amazon will be having this sale regardless of their friend count. Resist the impulse to advertise for them for free.

I haven't even been on my Facebook since I created it almost a year ago (I don't even have a profile or profile picture) but I signed in just to like them for this deal. I've never watched Mad Men but I would gladly pick up the blu-rays for $9.99 each.

I think you're right but figured 'what the heck' & did it anyway. I don't mind advertising for Amazon (especially if they keep offering periodic free trials for 2-day Prime shipping), and I only have a Facebook account under an alias for deals like this (or to check Wal-Mart's BF ad posted there, etc.). The email acct. I used to sign up is one I keep specifically so my personal email doesn't get spammed, and the social aspects don't interest me in the least.

It's highly unlikely that 48,000 more people are going to do this before next week, however. I'd really like to get BD copies of Mad Men for 9.99 (got Season One for $14.99 last year, I think).
