I haven't seen it either. However, if you don't feel like wasting gas hunting anymore, Family Video is selling it for $5.99

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Hit the Seekonk, Mass. store a couple of days ago and found the new cardboard display. In addition to some titles that we've all seen before, I found the following...

Ace Ventura Jr. Pet Detective
Changeling
Cyber Bandits
Doomsday
Magic in the Water
The Mambo Kings
Sharkwater

All were $3

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Then I hit the Swansea, Mass. store a day later and found the display with more old reruns and the following...

Tons of "previously viewed" copies of My Sister's Keeper, The Time Travelers Wife and one other title which is escaping me at the moment...

B.O.B.'s Big Break....$3
Elizabeth the Golden Age....$3
Hamlet 2....$3
R.L. Stines Haunting Hour....$3
It Takes Two....$3
Journey to the Center of the Earth....$5
Pan's Labyrinth (2-disc)....$3
Seraphim Falls....$5
Spartacus (with slipcover)....$5
Rock Hudson (screen legend collection)....$5

and.....wait for it, wait for it...

The Brown Bunny....$3

That's right, the elusive Bunny has finally arrived in New England. At least to my part of it anyway.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I've picked up quite a few dvd sets lately. I really need to stop but I can't help myself!

- King of the Hill season 4
- Dead Like Me season 2
- LOST season 1
- Six Feet Under season 3
- Six Feet Under season 4
- Deadwood season 1
- Heroes season 2

I've been to 6 BL stores in 2 states (SC and NC) and haven't found a single copy of Metropolis. I may have to finally admit defeat on that one.

Ironic, I just heard of My Geisha for the first time yesterday, & I want it (I collect Edward G Robinson & somehow this one had passed under my radar). ! No sign of it here.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I hit Pearl & Bridgeport (both Tacoma, WA) today.

Pretty much saw everything reported here except Das Boot, Mrs Miniver & My Geisha.

Both stores put out last week's $3 Blue labels quite late, so both still have a good selection of those (especially Pearl), & both stores also got the new batch reported here with the black & white $3 tags.

Pearl also didn't put out this week's new batch until today.

You must have gotten there right before Chloe Sevigny, who has obviously been driving furiously across the U.S. buying up all of BL copies.

Based on what I've seen I'd say it's possibly a rarity. I've only seen 1 (one) copy here which was 6+ months ago. I grabbed it. There are *no* copies in the new "blue" stickered batch at the sole store here (they got a double layer flat). Just lots and lots of "King Kong" 3 disk.

The Bunny also finally made it to the Seattle area in the last 2 weeks.

The funny thing to me is many of us (including me) have put so much effort into finding this really lame film, just 'cause it's cheap & um........ shows a lot of Choloe!

I bought that one on (Nov 24, 2010), so I am thinking your chances are pretty slim unless they are putting it in new lots again.

It was definitely a new batch because I frequent that BL quite a bit and this is the first time I've seen it.

Yeah, it came through Columbus a while ago. I bought it last fall too. Haven't seen it pop up again recently.

Yes, I would have to agree. Based on the little bit that I'd heard about the film itself, it definitely was not a high priority purchase at whatever the original price may have been....BUT, when the news first broke about it appearing at Big Lots, Bunny fever set in, and the search was on.....Kind of a Holy Grail thing.

Ironically, Monty Python's Holy Grail preceded it by at least a year. So there are Grails and "Grails", I guess
