A couple of DVDs, but mostly office supplies with the 20% coupon. The last shipment was mediocre at best.

New York, New York was in the four sided rack, on the third or fourth shelf down and all the way in the back, which makes me think (since it was the only copy I saw) that someone was hiding it to either come back for it, or to tell someone else about it. Or maybe it just got there naturally as people always pick things up and put them down in other places, or employees rearrange the rack.

I went to Big Lots yesterday with my 20% off coupon, looked through the DVD tower and another (semi-hidden) pallet of DVDs (I didn't see any BDs), and walked away with... (drum roll) nothing. Well, no movies at least which is par for the course. I haven't found a DVD I wanted for at least a couple months now. I did buy a few other items with the 20% off coupon, including a RCA 3.5" portable battery powered TV for $55.xx, so it wasn't a total waste. While you can't watch anything but OTA digital broadcasts on the TV, it should be nice in case of (too frequent) power outages.

When I go to BL, I pretty much just glance at the names on the spines or the stickers on top so I can make it through all the DVDs in under 10 minutes. I'm inconsistent whether I lift the ones without stickers... it depends on how big a hurry I'm in.

Nothing really new at my BL either. And the store was jam-packed with customers taking advantage of the 20% off sale, so I didn't want to stay any longer than necessary. I ended up just getting a few $3 DVDs that I had my eye on - Lost In Translation, Poltergeist, and Loonatics Season One. I saved $1.80.

Sunday was a DVD bust. I even saw others who quickly checked the DVD's out and passed on all the repeat stock at our BL. I think that many of the stores have created a backlog and have not been able to dig out of it.

I didn't see a dvd restock @ the 4 stores I visited for the sale, but I did get the Samsung BD-C5500 refurbished Blu-ray player for $47...

Well, for the 20% off sale, I found nothing of interest at the Fayettville Ga store(Still tons of not very interesting DVDs growing dusty) but the usually worthless Riverdale store had the original Taking of Pelham One Two Three....yea! They also had the Sacketts Miniseries for only $3. I left behind Thunderball a 2008 DVD release, because I wasn't sure if I had an older DVD of it or not. Might as well wait til I am rich* and get the BR down the road.

Was near the Stockbridge BL yesterday and saw several copies of Rio Bravo 2 disc for just $3
Also saw about 7-8 of these AFI Directors series there, I think they were $5.

Found Clay Pigeons with Vince Vaughn for $3. Hadn't see that one mentioned yet.

Also bought the last copy of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? 2-Disc. It was the main reason I made the trip, so I was happy to pick that up for $5. Now, if only Big Lots would get some copies of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? 2-Disc for $5 or less. I still regret not buying that one for $7 on Amazon when it was still in-print. Maybe a BD with the same special features will come along one of these days.

It was $59 marked down from $89 before coupon. I'd been to five stores only saw the one. The reviews are pretty good to okay, the two main drawbacks according to reviews is that it is slow, and you need to buy adapter for wireless. I don't like that there is no zoom, no reverse step, and no rapid play with audio. But at least now I can watch the few BD combos I've purchased

Are you certain it was Volume 1 -- where the front cover shows her sitting on a tire swing? I know V2 has been showing up for some time, but this is the first report I've read of someone finding the first half. Love to buy that one for $3.
