Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
There's a small selection of the Disney titles at the NoHo store on Vineland Ave. Here's what I saw:
Samantha Who S1
Strongest Man In The World
October Road S1
A Lot Like Love
Krippendorf's Tribe (fullscreen)
Calendar Girls
High School Musical (3?)
Hanna Montana (something, something)
Atlantis cartoons (?)
National Treasure

Pearl St Tacoma Wa got in a batch of $5 dvd's. Some of the titles weren't half bad, but $5 was too much for me.
I had a clerk scan one & it rang up at $5, NOT $4. Would she have needed to scan 2 before the price drop?
The better of the titles I remember were:
Criterion Benjamin Button
Breakfast At Tiffany's
Sony Michael Jackson 2 Disc
a recent Star Trek 2 disc (sorry remember which one)
Top Gun FS 2 Disc
a couple John Wayne 2fer's
There are LOTS of all the above.
No $3 Disney, though.

Excuse me if this is a dumb question, but I am still a newbie. When you say John Wayne 2fer's, does that mean two movies, or a 2-Disc set, like The Searchers (Ultimate Collector's Edition) [which I've been struggling to find for a good price for quite some time]?

That was correct, it did take 2 (I went back). the Wayne's were the double features; 1 is Sons Of Katie Elder/The Shootist, the other is In Harm's Way/Donovan's Reef.
One warning: this batch had the highest percentage of floaters I've EVER seen at BL; I suggest shaking every possible purchase, especially the Star Trek 2 discs & the Waynes.

I found Fantastic Four The Complete 1994-95 Animated TV Series in the Disney $3 batch. They had plenty of copies of Donald in Mathmagic Land.
I also saw a small batch of $3 Paramount titles that included Goin' South.

Probably already been mentioned but I picked up the two-disc collector's edition of Van Helsing for $5 and The Hills Run Red for $3.

The Longwood FL. store (17/92 and 434) had some of the Disney stuff. I grabbed Valiant and one I haven't seen mentioned, the Vista special edition of Sixth Sense. These both rang up as $2.50 each. Is the Star Trek 2 disc people are spotting the Special Collectors Editions? The covers had the movie posters framed with a grey border. I still need 3 of those to finish off my set.

Great deal on the Duke double features, though I expect most of these to pop up in Blu sooner or later now that Paramount is dipping into the catalog. All would benefit in HD, but the SD copies are excellent as far as I remember.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
Today picked up:
2/$5
The Queen
Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic
2/$8
Resident Evil: Extinction (two disc)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (two disc)
Funny Girl/Funny Lady
What's the Matter with Helen?/Whoever Slew Auntie Roo?
I only saw a handful of Disney titles, and they were scattered, not in a tray, which makes me wonder if they've come and gone or if more will be coming. I was hoping I could find both seasons of Samantha Who. I did see season two in Five Below, but obviously I'd rather pay $3 (or less) than $5.

Went to the Niles, IL store this afternoon and let me say that their stock is slowly getting depleted by the day. All crap titles scattered throughout the store and yep, they still have one copy of that famous S2 of Twin peaks at ten bucks and Melrose Place S5 V1 also for ten bucks. Just down to the bare bones now at this location.

The Big Lots I went to today had 3 copies of the movie "Full Contact" w/Chow Yun Fat. I have been wanting to see it for years, never got around to watching it online, and i couldn't find it to rent anywhere. And it was only $3, so i figured why not, now i get to see it.
I'm not sure if this was has been mentioned yet or not.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
Just got back from the Eau Claire, WI, Big Lots. Had some of the horror left, tons of Stanley Kramer box sets left and only a handful of Disney. Most of them were Hannah Montana and National Treasure, though I did see (and buy) one copy of Krippendorf's Tribe and one copy of The Tortoise and the Hare. I didn't see Enchanted but did see Ella Enchanted.
I saw one copy of Firestarter 2 pack and a couple of the Greatest classic Films sets. Happened across a James Bond-Living Daylights. Wished they had had more Disney, was looking for Valiant and the Winnie the Pooh one.
I did, however, still get the discounts. The Disney's were .50 off each and the Halloween movies each were a dollar off, so $4 instead of $5.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
Picked up the following at the Troy NY store. Had a healthy amount of the Disney titles but none of the John Wayne twofers or other Paramount titles mentioned recently.
Enchanted
Race to Witch Mountain
Samantha Who--both seasons, although there were many more of Season 2
TCM Classic Movies--Horror: 1941 Dr Jekyll and Mister Hyde, 1951 House of Wax, 1963 The Haunting and 1932 Freaks.
The $3 titles all rang up $2.50 while the TCM was $5.

I went to mine today and was hoping to see Winnie the Pooh's Seasons of Giving, but I still haven't seen that one. They had 3 copies of Donald in Mathmagic Land and some other Disney sets. I already got the Donald one through Disney Movie Rewards.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
Our local Big Lots had a couple of restocks since I was last there (including the "horror" boxes). I picked up the following:
$5
Dark City Director's Cut
Across the Universe
Shane/The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
A couple of John Wayne two packs
The Fifth Element Ultimate Edition
Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Criterion - lots of copies were available)
TCM Greatest Classics - Horror (with Dr. Jekyll, Freaks, The Haunting, and House of Wax)
Zathura/Zoom Academy for Superheroes two pack
$3
The Old Man and the Sea
Michael Clayton
The Last House on the Left Director's Edition (original I think)
Vampires Superbit
The Brothers Warner
They seemed to have four new boxes sitting on top of everything and all four of these boxes seemed somewhat identical with lots and lots of duplicates. My guess is that I am going to see most of these for quite some time to come.

A lot of the selections (including Disney) are starting to show up in my neck of the woods. Add to the list:
Me & Orson Welles
Lust for Gold (Glenn Ford and Ida Lupino)
Got both for $2.50 (with discount)

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
I went to my local (Lakewood, CA) BL tonight to check out the stock but found out that it is closed off and on all week since they are filming a BL Christmas commercial there. So I didnt get to check the stock but the staff sitting outside gave me one of the 20% off coupons for use next weekend AND a $5 gift card, just for showing up, I guess. Pretty good deal.
