Has anyone had the chance to compare this set to the UK or China editions?

That's nearly as low as it was on the lightning deal I bought it on in November. Good price, good show, good set. Compared to the UK version of other overseas version? Fox did it right, folks...music in place, the crossover episode with the Practice included.

I think that I've been spoiled by the Miami Vice $40 series box (5-seasons).

I know that this series has 112 episodes so $80 is about 71 cents per episode, very cheap entertainment considering it is a 1 hour show (so about 45 minutes since there are no commercials).

Speaking of TV shows, I just started Season 2 of Alias and was watching the previews at the start of Disk 1. There was a commercial for Pirates of the Carribean and something else, then it went to a commercial for Season 3 of Alias which was showing very major spoilers for Season 2. Horrible decision to have the Season 3 promo show automatically before Season 2 started.

Here is what I saw (spoilers for Season 2 of Alias):
Spoiler:
1. Sydney and Michael Vaughn start dating;
2. Sydney's mother jumps off of a building while Sydney is pointing a gun at her, she may be dead?
3. Sydney's roommate is a spy for somebody

These are major plot points for Season 2, and they set the DVD to show them automatically before Season 2 actually begins. Oh well.

For TV shows, etc... always skip ads. The studios are notorious for this. Also avoid disc art/box art whenever possible. The Alias discs contain "character" discs and some of them could also be seen as spoilerish (who is/isn't in a particular season, etc.)

Some of the stuff you mention is spoilery but it shouldn't affect your enjoyment of the show. Just remember to have the remote handy for the "skip" feature next time. It was terribly stupid to include it but these things are made by morons who think very little about this stuff... unfortunately.
