It's a bottle opener with magnet - price? Basic $32.99 or $39.99 with trinket.

...so it's a seven dollar bottle opener. Joy.

I would've much preferred a bonus disc.

Looked at both Wal-Mart's and Target's websites. Nope. No exclusives for this. Last year Target had an extra disc.

Unless there is something more at Best Buy, since the print is real tiny, I'm gonna pass and just get the basic box set.

*shakes head* $7.00 bottle opener. If I wanted one I could go to the 99 Cent Only store and buy one.

Actually, in next week's BB ad, both the exclusive bottle opener magnet edition and the standard edition are priced the same. It probably won't be updated on the website until Sunday.

Target has a Signature edition with three different covers: Bill, Sookie and Eric.

Okay. Thirty-two, ninety-nine; I probably get this then.

Re: Weekly DVD/BD Exclusive Listings, 05/02/10 and beyond

Green Lantern animated movie this week has 3 exclusives:

FYE has a poster, as usual.

Also as usual, Best Buy has their mini-figure pack-in (Sinestro) with the Blu-ray edition.

Also, Wal-Mart has the exclusive on the 2-disc DVD version. It includes a few of the Blu-ray's special features, but not all. The completist in me feels obligated to buy this too (so as to have all these DC direct-to-video releases on 2-disc DVD), but I'm doing my best to break the addiction. Plus the slipcovers of every copy at my local Wal-Mart were a mess from being jammed into those horrible metal racks.

Has anybody found any others?

Going back a few weeks... does anyone have a photo of the FYE exclusive Green Hornet keychain? Normally I wouldn't care, but the FYE associate made it sound really cool.

I noticed another Target exclusive not advertised in their weekly ad: Blue Valentine DVD comes with "exclusive DVD and CD. includes music from official Blue Valentine soundtrack", according to the sticker on the package

HA! Here in the States! LOL! Everyone but the US will be getting a steelbook.

So far only FYE has a poster with pre-order. In store only. I believe for both Blu-ray and DVD versions.

Best Buy has something cool for the Lord of the Rings: Extended Edition Blu-Ray collection. It's a replica of the One Ring, as seen in the movies. It comes with a chain and is housed within a Blu-Ray sized box, and it is to be purchased as a pre-order item for $10.00 (which will then be deducted from the item price upon purchase).

Additionally, there is a deluxe version of this Blu-Ray collection that comes with some kind of LOTR chess set (I think), although I'm not sure if this is exclusive to Best Buy.

Anyway, dem's da latest.

I got the ring. It comes in a box just like the sword that came with the Best Buy exclusive for the Theatrical editions.

Anybody know if there are any other exclusives at other stores?

Also, I know there's probably 0% chance of this, but are there any store exclusives for the Superman Bluray set?

Re: Weekly DVD/BD Exclusive Listings, 05/02/10 and beyond

That's interesting to learn, RD.

I hadn't realized there was a sword given away with the Best Buy theatrical editions. Was this for the Blu-Rays that came out last year? I don't remember the sword at all. I do know there was a Best Buy pre-order exclusive of a metal case/steelbook type thing, so I'm surprised to hear that there might be another. Was this perhaps for the DVD editions instead? I'd be very curious to learn the details and/or see a photo if you have one to offer.

Thanks for the info!

And sorry, no word on any retailer exclusives for the Superman box from a few weeks ago. I didn't see any and like you, I'm inclined to believe there were none. But yeah, I know that nagging feeling of curiosity goes...

Here's the LOTR exclusives including pics of the sword that came with BB exclusive BD theatrical editions.

Didn't find any Superman exclusives either.

Bestbuy had a horrible plastic "steelbook" when you pre-ordered the theatrical Blurays (I gave mine away. It was embarrasing).

The sword was a Bestbuy store exclusive which came with the theatrical Blurays.

Damn, no exclusives for Superman? WB just dumped that release in stores without any hype at all. Sad, those movies were a big deal once.

By the way, why is this forum running so slow?

I'm annoyed that the Extended Version is BD-exclusive.

But I'd guess it was only a matter of time before slow-adapters start getting, well, punished.

Re: Weekly DVD/BD Exclusive Listings, 05/02/10 and beyond

Question.

I now have the slipcover for "The Girls Next Door: Season Six" (I'm a bastard).

Anyhow.

None of the copies at Best Buy had them (I haven't been to Target), but the ones at Wal-Mart did; I'm wondering.

I ask because when "Disturbia" first came out, the DVD was just a case. But Target sold it with a lenticular slipcover that was an unadvertised exclusive. Did the same thing happen for season six?

It should be listed here, mentioned in the main part of the site.

Best Buy will be selling "Super" with a bonus disc; extended scenes, director and cast interviews, Emerald City Comic Con Panel Discussion, SXSW Film Festival Premiere and poster gallery. An hour worth of goodies.

The exclusive is for Blu-Ray only.

But the bonus content is on a DVD. I'll probably get it and ditch the Blu, make my DVD into a two disc set.

Is that a in store exclusive only, or can you also get that when you buy it online from them?
