If the price wasn't so good I would be pissed off by this practice, because once they have your money there is no incentive - other than the desire for your future business - to provide good service.

Yeah, to be honest, I had forgotten the reason why I hadn't shopped there in like 3 years and unfortunately now remember. I wouldn't have ordered if I had remembered the pre-charge.

eh, i prefer the pre-charge. it keeps me from wondering why just got charged on the day it shipped. and to get this at so cheap a price you have no reason to complain

As a store "experience", I prefer Overstock to DD. However, rarely does Overstock have a lower price than Amazon/DD, or B&N during a sale. They're not shady.

Well I am fine with the early charge as long as it's accurate and they advertise that they'll do it. Overstock is fine on both counts. I'm not a big fan of the pre-charge, but I'm taking it this time. I got the blu-ray, though, which was a good deal but not as crazy a deal as the DVD.

Mine has yet to be cancelled yet, and I only ordered shortly before RequiemX. Hopefully some of us will still get this deal.

I did just find this in their terms and conditions though

If a product’s correct price is higher than the price stated on our Site, we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatching the product, or reject your order and notify you of such rejection. We are under no obligation to provide the product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you an Order Confirmation or a Shipping Confirmation, if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakable and could have reasonably been recognized by you as a pricing error.

Did you actually click on the item in your account? When I just looked at the list of pending orders, it still read "Processing", but it spelled out "Cancelled" once I actually clicked into it.

Yeah, just checked again, still says "Presale, expected to ship Mar 23, 2010" nowhere does it say cancelled.

No huge loss, the first two seasons were on sale at $15, I'm sure future seasons will do the same, we just might have to wait until Black Friday.
