$12.00 Trilogy sets at Walmart.

Just got back from Walmart where I saw a bunch of trilogy sets for only $12.00. Here is the list of what I saw...
- Underworld Trilogy
- X-Men Trilogy
- Died Hard Trilogy
- The Godfather (the coppola restoration) (1,2,3)
- Rocky Triple Pack (1,2,3)
- Spiderman The Motion Picture DVD Trilogy
- The Matrix (all three film shrink wrapped together)
- The Stuart Little Movie Collection (1,2,3)
- Austin Powers Collection (all three films with cardboard ring)
- Rush Hour 3 Pack
- The Grudge Trilogy (in a box set that I've never seen before or even listed on the net anywhere)
- Alien Triple Pack (1,2,3)
And there was one more that they were sold out of. The tag on the shelf said Birthday. So I have no idea what that set is.

interesting. I saw the matrix collection (3 films, animatrix) in the $5 bin. Still thought that was overpriced for those sequels (since I had #1), but surprised they are now charging $12 for them!

Are you sure it was the Coppola Restoration box set for The Godfather? I was at my Wal-Mart yesterday and the version of the collection they had on sale for $12.00 was the original box set release. I even picked it up and looked it over, then went to see if the Coppola Restoration set was on sale, which it was not and still cost $29.96, I think. If it were the restoration I would have jumped on it!

Well all I can tell ya is that the sets on the shelf were the Coppola Restoration set so if it was a mistake they would have had to give it to me for the price. Maybe I'll have to go back and get it. Lol.

You should go back and get it (if you don't already have it). I got the Steelbook version from FYE when it first came out for $35 I think. I was planning on getting that set for my father for Christmas, but I just spent all of my money on a gift for the lady so that is out now lol. The picture is superb, though, on this release and is definitely worth it.

Can anyone else confirm Coppola Restoration? Looks like I might have to sell my original set and upgrade

I saw a few of the same titles (trilogies) at target for 9.99.I know Austin powers was there (however it was a single case with all three films).

I personally believe that it is better than the original release. The picture quality alone makes the upgrade worth it, especially at $12. To me it seems like a no brainer, but to each their own of course!

Pretty much all of my 70s memories are encased in that lovely amber color with a touch of avocado green, harvest gold and burnt orange.

Ypsi Walmart has the original Godfather box release. I saw it last night: it's not the Coppola Restoration.

I will have to check my Wallieworld on the way home.

Great price if it worked out. Cheap enough that I would not feel guilt about owning Part 3.

Re: $12.00 Trilogy sets at Walmart.

Has anyone purchased the Rush Hour set? Wondering if all three films are widescreen or FF? It' is SO irratating when they box these things up and wont put the specs where you can read them. Thanks.
