Okay, let's hear the details! What time did you have to get there to snag a copy prior to 3 am and did they say how many free copies they got at that particular store? This was the one deal I was telling my wife I'd be willing to do... but I assumed each store would get less than 5 copies. So I slept like a baby the entire night. Congrats on your deal btw.

I got there at 1am and they ran out of wristbands about 10-15 people behind me so about 1:15 was the cutoff to get in line. By the time they opened there were 150 people or so in line and most were pissed they had so few copies. They only got 50 copies total across all 3 platforms for the entire store and I think the Wii version was half of those. I wanted the PS3 version and there were only 3 of those bands left when they got to me. They only had 6 free guitars left, but apparently no one even asked about those and I was able to grab one when checking out.

Re: Black Friday Door Buster Deals?? Tell us what you got!!

went to Target in Manhattan Beach to pick up Gremlins at around 10am. They had plenty when I got there. I think I only saw one copy of GwtW and WoZ, but I really wasn't looking for either of those.

so overall:

Left 4 Dead 2 ($35)
Eastern Promises ($10)
Monsters vs. Aliens ($10)
Gremlins ($13)

Total: $68

Not bad. I actually have a second L4D2 since BB was unable to give me an estimated ship or delivery date (so I went ahead with Amazon for it). So I tried cancelling the BB order this morning and had to wait on hold until someone could pick up just to direct the call and then wait for the Online Orders dept to pick up which they never did after 15 minutes...so I hung up and am selling it to a friend. At least i get my whole 35 + 25% reward points for it still

Re: Black Friday Door Buster Deals?? Tell us what you got!!

I was sort of miffed at Wal-mart when it seemed like most of the $5 DVDs were only available in Fullscreen, otherwise, I would have spent some more $$$ on titles like Gran Torino, TDK, etc.

Re: Black Friday Door Buster Deals?? Tell us what you got!!

My wallet is hurting. But i did all my shopping on Amazon this year.

Picked up HP G60-501NR 15.6-Inch Black Laptop for $197. Which sold out in 30 seconds.

$34.99 NHL 10 PS3

And a bunch of dvds. Some as gifts and some for myself.
$19.99 True Blood Season 1
$18.99 Fringe Season 1
$15.99 Fight Club Blu-ray (-$5 for buying it with Boondock Saints)
$12.99 House Season 4, Gossip Girl Season 2, Heroes Season 2, Cars Blu-ray gift set.
$10 Braveheart, Gladiator, Boondock Saints Blu-ray
$9.99 Monsters vs Aliens Blu-ray, Wolverine Blu-ray, Eastbound and Down Season 1
$7.99 Blu-ray The Departed, V For Vendetta, Goodfellas

Also picked up the I Am Legend Blu-ray Collector's Editon from BB for $7.99 that is back-ordered.

The free month of Prime helped. But I have 6 different orders coming either Tuesday or Wednesday. So my UPS guy will hate me. Glad I missed the Beatles deal for $99 on Amazon. I probably would have bought that as well.

Re: Black Friday Door Buster Deals?? Tell us what you got!!

I went to Target to try my hand at getting a TV. Saw The Goonies on the $3.99 shelf and grabbed that, got my TV, then checked out. Got a $10 gift card because of the size of my purchase, then went back in and used it on Supernatural season 1 which came to a total of $2.99 + tax.

Then went to Kmart for something else and grabbed History Boys and The Deep End for $5 each and The Mist for $3.99.

Just ordered Iron Man from Amazon for $5 and I'm done!

Re: Black Friday Door Buster Deals?? Tell us what you got!!

Well my doorbuster was an item I bought on Wednesday and Target price adjusted today. Lego Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull set. Since I was there I grabbed:

Christmas Vacation DVD (for myself)
Dark City Blu ray (for present)
The Departed Blue ray (for present)

And they price adjusted the fuzzy robe I got, so I can try that out tonight.

Personally other then $2 Wally mart dvd's & cheap TV's everywhere I thought this was a pretty weak BF, especially considering the state of the economy.

Re: Black Friday Door Buster Deals?? Tell us what you got!!

It was truly a mess here at the Beckley WV Walmart this morning.
They had the stuff spread out over the store but still lots of people were crowded around the area where the DVDs were. It was tough to look thru the movies with 4-5 people beside you and numerous others reaching over you.
That being said I still managed to get the following--
$2 The Happening
$2 Raging Bull
$2 I am Legend (2 disc)
$2 Rock N Rolla
$2 Speed Racer
$2 Casino Royale (2 disc Full Screen) looked for WS ..none found
$2 Behind Enemy Lines:Colombia
$2 The Comebacks:Unrated
$2 Underworld
$2 Vantage Point
$2 Talledega Nights
$2 Mr. WoodCock
$5 Friday the 13th (Killer Cut)
$5 You Don't Mess With the Zohan (Unrated)

I was disappointed that I didnt find Hellboy 2 or Mummy 3 but was pleased with what I found in the mess.It was about a 25 min wait at the registers.

Got a few of the $7.99 BDs at Best Buy, put a few back after reading online reviews. $7.99 is a good price point for BDs for me. Felt good seeing so many $3.99 DVDs at BB that I paid $2 each at Wal-mart earlier. Cha-ching!

Bought Wanted BD for $10 at Movie Stop while in there to check out their used BDs selection (nothing else caught my fancy at the prices slapped on them so far).
i wish i had one of these magic drawers that is full of gift cards to various stores.

Wrong. If you go to the regular DVD area and grap a Widescreen version they will ring up as the sale price. Did that with Gran Torino.

Actually, 2 of the cards were from our company's employee kudos program, where people write on cards detailing other employees going beyond the call of duty to help someone else out, and they pick from the cards of who got kudos to give a gift card, and they also give out a gift card for one of the kudos giver. So, just an accumulation of good deeds that keeps on giving.

Crows, I can handle; it's the vultures that bother me!

I got to Wal-Mart at 4am to stand in line for the Sony Bravia 40" 1080p LCD HDTV, $598. Even that late, I was third in line for that model. But just before 5am, my wife called to say it was back in-stock online and she had ordered it Ship-to-Store, so I headed home and went back to sleep. I don't mind waiting the extra week to get it, as we're about to move to a bigger apartment and wouldn't have taken it out of the box until then, anyway.
