Re: The One and Only Current FamilyVideo.com Specials Thread
I think it matters what you order. If its a big set it takes quite awhile. A single DVD item tends to arrive relatively quickly for the shipping portion.

Never had or encountered any kind of problems with this company. Always upfront and honest and their prices are decent, not the greatest, but respectable, but I'd go with them if you decide to place an order from them.

Steal of the Day

----
Monday, November 7th's Steal of the Day:

Muppet Show - Season 1 Special Edition DVD - <del>$29.99</del> $18.99
Perhaps the strangest variety show ever to air on television, the wildly popular MUPPET SHOW helped to spawn an entire series starring Jim Henson's crew of puppet comedians. Combining musical numbers with comedy, THE MUPPET SHOW centered on the efforts of Kermit the Frog and his team of performers to put on a weekly show, featuring both the onstage acts as well as the backstage problems. Each week a new guest star, among the most distinguished entertainers of the time, would appear to participate in some of the skits and assist Kermit in making order out of the backstage chaos. Although the humor of THE MUPPET SHOW was often more adult and occasionally risqué than the later Muppet endeavors, it was still appropriate for every member of the family. SEASON ONE contains all 24 episodes of the program's first year (the 1976-77 television season), and features guest stars who are still well-known today, such as Lena Horne, Peter Ustinov, Candice Bergen, Vincent Price, and many others.

Facebook's new rules for contests don't allow us to contact winners through Facebook -- which is why we ask for your e-mail address to enter the sweepstakes. =) The response to the sweepstakes has been overwhelming, but we'll soon be announcing some winners we've confirmed!

My Big Fat Greek Wedding Widescreen & Full Frame DVD - <del>$5.99</del> $3.99
Toula Portakalos (Nia Vardalos) feels trapped in her large Greek family, where women are expected to do only three things: "marry Greek men, have Greek babies, and feed everyone until the day they die." Rebelling against this fate, Toula quits the family restaurant, goes to college, fixes her hair, and falls in love with Ian (John Corbett), a guy who is way-too-good-to-be-true, and not Greek. This horrifies Toula's Greek culture-crazed father (Michael Constantine) and sets off a major culture clash between her loud, eccentric family (whose activities include roasting whole lambs on the front-yard barbecue spit) and Ian's subdued, overcivilized Anglo-Saxon parents.

Dexter -The Complete First Season 4-Disc Set DVD - <del>$39.99</del> $13.99 65% off!
After playing a mild-mannered funeral home director in SIX FEET UNDER, Michael C. Hall makes a smooth transition to a serial killer in this Showtime original series. But the twist in this smart show is that Dexter chooses to prey only on other serial killers. As a child, Dexter was adopted by a cop (James Remar) who quickly realizes that his new son is no ordinary boy. Since Dexter is compelled to kill, his law-abiding father pushes him to choose his quarry in a way that will best benefit society. As Dexter grows older, he works as a blood splatter expert in Miami, giving him a close view of other murderers and their handiwork. Stylish and blackly comic, this drama is adapted from Jeff Lindsay's novel DARKLY DREAMING DEXTER. This release includes the entire first season, which largely focuses on Dexter's pursuit of the coldblooded Ice Truck Killer and his own efforts to evade detection.
