Re: The One and Only Current FamilyVideo.com Specials Thread
Can anyone who has ordered from this site confirm for me if the Kalifornia and Return of the Living Dead blurays are in the bluray cases or the DVD cases, it makes a difference on whether I order them or not. Thanks in advance.

Steal of the Day: Black Sheep - $4.99
Synopsis: Chris Farley stars as Mike Donnelly, the doltish younger brother of a gubernatorial candidate (Tim Matheson). Mike can't seem to stay out of trouble, thus potentially endangering his brother's chance at winning the election, so campaign aide Steve Dodds (David Spade) is assigned to chaperone him until the election is over. Not realizing that he is biting off more than he can chew, Steve takes Mike to the wilderness of Washington state, where the two men are ill-equipped to deal with the difficulties that nature throws their way. Penelope Spheeris (WAYNE'S WORLD) directs this slapstick comedy, which reunites the successful team from 1995's TOMMY BOY.

Steal of the Day: Monty Python and the Holy Grail - $5.99
Synopsis: This classic Monty Python comedy, directed by Pythons Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones, is a hilarious send-up of the grim circumstances of the Middle Ages as told through the story of King Arthur and framed by a modern-day murder investigation. When the mythical king of the Britons leads his knights on a quest for the Holy Grail, they face a wide array of horrors, including a persistent Black Knight, a three-headed giant, a cadre of shrubbery-challenged knights, the perilous Castle Anthrax, a killer rabbit, a house of virgins, and a handful of rude Frenchmen.
In addition to the set pieces, the film also includes the same kind of surreal animation that Gilliam contributed to the television series. Throughout the irreverent adventures, the Python crew eschews realism in favor of anachronistic social satire, a recipe it later returned to in the 1979 biblical farce MONTY PYTHON'S LIFE OF BRIAN. Melding the ridiculous with the sublime, the film quickly inspired a cult following, generated a host of quotes, and even inspired a computer game 20 years after its release. The numerous songs and hysterical vignettes are sidesplittingly unforgettable.

Steal of the Day: Parks and Recreation Season 1 - $8.99
Synopsis: THE OFFICE producers Greg Daniels and Michael Schur are the creative minds behind PARKS & RECREATION, a comedy about the earnest-but-absurd world of municipal politics. Framed as a mockumentary, the sitcom stars Amy Poehler (SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE) as Leslie Knope, a small-time civic leader with big dreams and difficult cohorts, including the hilariously self-involved bureaucrat, Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari), the bored intern, April (Aubrey Plaza), the obstructing boss, Ron (Nick Offerman), and the dour city planner, Mark (Paul Schneider). In order to climb the ladder and complete her current project--helping a no-nonsense nurse (Rashida Jones) turn a construction pit into a park-- she'll have to stay almost naively plucky in the face of rampant indifference and disrespect. This collection includes every episode of the first season of PARKS & RECREATION.
