It should be pointed out that the BD version of this is NOT a 2-disc release, but unfortunately only a 1-disc version that features only the film with an audio commentary track....it does not come with the second Blu-ray Disc that has all of the other special features that the UCE box set version has.....

Also, a couple of Target employees have posted that they have actually received in signage that indicates they will be selling Star Trek in stores on BD for a "lower than advertised" $19.99 price.....however this may not be a nationwide re-pricing deal, so YMMV....

Just to clarify, does that mean that the 2-Disc Enterprise case edition is $22.99? Or are they just saying it's available but don't state the price for it?

FYI - just got back from Target and Desperate Housewives Season 5 and Private Practice Season 2 are both $18.99 as well. Lot of other deals, but didn't pick up the ad.

Target.com has the SD single disc on sale for$9.99 with free shipping. My question is, does anyone know if the 2D SE just has a digital copy as the 2nd disc or are there special features exclusive to that disc??? Anyone know?

I went in to Target for a season set of Gilmore Girls, as it was mentioned in the ad, and to my surprise they had THE CLOSER Season 4 on sale for $12.99! So I picked that one up too to complete my collection of The Closer. I also noticed CHUCK Season 1 was on sale for $12.99 also (but I already have it), SCRUBS Season 8 was $14.99, and DAMAGES Season 1 was $14.99. Pretty good prices on some TV box sets!

I picked up Grey's season 5 which also had the bonus disc with the Private Practice crossover episodes. So glad I waited even though the ABC TV sets aren't on sale too often.

Thanks Dino 88 for the prices. A quick add, the $7.50 movie cash for New Moon is ONLY on the single disk 17.99 SD Twilight. I had just picked up the 3 disk Twilight last week, and brought it in for a price adjustment and to get the movie cash, when I noted it was only for the single disk version.

All24mend, thanks for the info on Closer S4 and Damages S1. I've been waiting months for Damages to drop, and jumped on it.

I recall someone was looking for a deal on Castle S1. Its on sale as well, I believe for $14.99. There was a ton of stuff not in the ad for sale, particularly in TV season sets. Recommend you pop over to Target early and take advantage.

I managed to get both Scrubs season 8 and Castle season 1 for 5 bucks each. Both were on sale for 15 and each had a coupon for 10 dollars off various abc dvd's. Both were listed on the coupon so I took that up to guest service and got 20 dollars back. Such a steal.

Don't know if this is a YMMV, but my Target has the 3 disc blu-ray for $19.99. With a leftover $5 gift card (from those Beatles CD purchases), I snagged it for $14.99. So, it appears they are price matching BB & Walmart. (Actually, Walmart is 3 cents cheaper)

The regular version of Star Trek on BD is ringing up at the "lower than advertised" price of $19.99, while the special Enterprise case version on BD is also ringing up for a "lower than advertised" price of $24.99....

Also, I can now confirm that the Target regular case version of GWTW is definitely ONLY 1-disc....I went there this morning to check it out, felt the front of the case and you can easily tell that there is no hub on the inside of the front for a second disc to be attached onto...also, if you look on the specs in the box under "video" for the special features, it clearly says "None"....nowhere on the case does it say anything about being a "2-disc" edition (while the DVD version does clearly say it is 2-discs)....also, the weight of the case is the same as other 1 disc releases, not slightly heavier as a 2-disc release is....

I was just about to post this as well. I tried to get them to pricematch the $24.99 price from their website and they wouldn't. But when I scanned it at one of their price checkers it came up as $24.99. All their shelf tags state $29.99 though.

All you have to do is go up to guest service with your reciept and coupons, and tell them you had forgot them at the time of purchase. Most targets are extremely forgiving about that, I used to work there.

Marald asked, how do you use the coupon, when you have to open the DVD to get it. The answer is quite simple, you buy the DVD at Target, open it and return with the coupon to price adjust the purchase with the coupon. You have to do it within 24 hours, and Target will allow it no problems.

Since all of these series are currently on sale at Target this week, you can start picking them up for $4.99 in some cases. A real deal.

Moving on to another topic, I also picked up the SD DVD of Gone with the Wind. It is a two disk edition, unlike the Blu ray, but that is simply because the movie is so long. It has no special features aside from a commentary track. The price of GWTW is $16.99.

I know this is the DVD forum, but while at Target look for the in-store Toys Coupon book. It has $10 off coupons when you buy two Nintendo Wii or DS games (separate coupons are there for PS3/PSP and Xbox 360), even those on sale. The sales/clearance area for games in my store had Wii and DS games for $7.48 (as well as PSP/PS3 and Xbox). Thats $2.48 per game, and I stocked up Wii Madden NFL 09, Wii NBA Live 09, Wii Popstar Guitar and more. I only have the Wii, but PSP and Xbox games were similarly priced and plentiful at the Mountain View, CA Target. I know these are not best seller games but $2.48 is a steal.

Was the BD selling in the stores for $24.99 for a short period of time (like Best Buy's doorbusters pricing) because I got the BD for that price, not the $29.99. Nothing on the shelf indicated and other price.

Best Buy's Doorbuster pricing was a joke. The standard edition was supposed to be $12.99 for 2 hours only. IT STILL IS $12.99. The prices for the BD and the 2 disc are better on-line than the ad yet the gift set went back to the regular price after the 2 hours. :hscratch:
