Re: Best Buy Ad - 11/15 - 11/21/2009
I just remembered that I have a $10 off coupon for select ABC series which include 4 of the 6 that are 50% off this week.
Scrubs Season 8 (bought it and that's where I got the $10 coupon.)
Castle: The Complete First Season
Life on Mars: The Complete Series
Samantha Who: The Complete Second Season
Either Castle or Life on Mars for $7.49 as a blind buy is awfully tempting!

BestBuy.com now has the Star Trek Blu-ray for $19.99. So as long as they don't jack it back up you can just pricematch their site and not bother with the doorbuster pricing.

so is BB matching Target, WalMart, or Amazon? how do you go about getting ST for $9.99 in-store? or do Target and WM match their own website in-store? sorry for the stupid question.

This site isn't the friendliest for posting scans, I scanned it but couldn't figure out how to post it. In any event the coupon is a two sided glossy paper in color manufacturer's coupon with pictures of the 9 TV series eligible for the coupon on the back, and the barcode and list on the front.
I'd go to Target which has several of these on sale this week for 14.99, see this weeks Target thread. $4.99 is better than 7.99. It might be hard to price match, I don't recall seeing all the TV shows on the Target print ad.

Has anybody tried using the $10 coupon at Best Buy? I went to get Samantha Who and when the cashier scanned the coupon it came up as 'invalid.' Manager said it was possible BB wasn't a 'participating retailer' as it states on the coupon. Just curious.
I'll try another store, maybe I'll have better luck.

I was able to use the $10 off coupon on season 5 of Desperate Housewives back in September at Best Buy with no problems....it did not come up correctly when scanned (which is almost always how it is with most coupons at Best Buy), but the cashier just pressed some other button, keyed in the $10 amount, and it was accepted as a "MFG coupon" as if it was just another form of payment....

/\ Yeah, the manager should've noticed that it is a manufacturer's coupon, and honored it. I hate it when they blindly assume that they do not take it because it automatically does not scan.

When I bought Castle yesterday, the cashier had to input the coupon as a generic MFG coupon. I walked out the door having paid $7.49, not knowing at the time I could have gotten it for $4.99 down the street at Target. Oh well.
