No, it is $59.99...you are safe, they are not trying to screw everyone over by disallowing regular full price PS3 and 360 games....

Re: Best Buy Ad - 10/25 - 10/31/2009

I thought for sure somebody would have a "buy the new Tinker Bell & The Lost Treasure & the original Tinker Bell on the same ticket and save $5 or $10 dollars" but it doesn't look like anyone's having a tie in deal. I never bought the original & thought by holding off till now that somebody would have that type of sale. And everybody still wants $19.99 for the original.

Re: Best Buy Ad - 10/25 - 10/31/2009

I went to Best Buy during its first two hours on Tuesday to get two bucks off the Revenge of the Fallen 2-Disc to make it $20.99 instead of $22.99 (sticker price $24.99) and next week they are selling it for an even better deal at $19.99? Damn.

Might get Orphan, but I don't like the price. I'll prob just get Night of the Creeps on BD.

I really want to get the RENEGADE EDITION of DJ HERO. I doubt that it is ever going to go downbin price for a while. I played the game last week at a setup in Toys R Us for a half hour. Also have to pick up WHATEVER WORKS Standard. Woody Allen movies are usually much more expensive even on release day.

I was thinking the same thing. It seemed like a week or two before Halloween Circuit City would always have one of those $3.99 sales where there was a huge stack of 50-75 titles pictured in the ad. And Best Buy would do something similar.

I figured the BB ads/deals wouldn't be as good once CC went out of business, but I thought they would at least still have these type of sales. So much for that.

Re: Best Buy Ad - 10/25 - 10/31/2009

These ads are really making me miss CC, it seems like deals have gone completely down the drain along with Circuit City. I used to buy movies all the time and now I have almost completely stopped. Even Amazon hasn't run a good Halloween sale this year or any real good dvd sales lately at all for that matter.

As much as I'd like to agree that CC's closing has taken the competition away and weakened BB's sales, I hard to feel bad about CC considering how sh!tty a place it was - Horrible selection, the worst customer service of any store in the world, and when they DID have one of those "stacks of $3.99" sales (or any deep sale), they'd be out of the good titles by 5 minutes aftering opening on Sunday.

Wow! $7.99 for TSO's Night Castle!? That's cheaper than the digital download from Amazon!

Makes me glad I have a Fry's within a 10 minute drive. I look every week at these ads, but have rarely gotten anything from BB in at least the past 3 months.

Bring your receipt back and get the difference in price. Hasn't been out for 30 days yet.

Anyone else having a problem where they cannot choose any games for In-store pickup? Can't even tell if something is in-stock.

It looks like since they're offering free shipping on the games online, they're not allowing in-store pickup.

Regarding the 30% thing for Blu-ray, it appears to be applying online to every future release I can find. It makes for some fairly decent pre-order prices which rival or better Amazon. If I place a pre-order at the prices currently listed, is BB likely to change it after the sale is over?

Any price you order at should be 'locked in' - I think the only thing they can do would be to cancel the order, but that would be likely as these aren't 'unbelievable' prices

Re: Best Buy Ad - 10/25 - 10/31/2009

i don't understand Best Buy or the website...

yesterday i could have ordered "Night of the Creeps" and select 'in-store' pickup for the store i wanted as it said it was available. i didn't and was going to today, but now it shows it will be available, but 'in-store' is no longer an option.

and the store i want to go to only gets like 3 copies of these semi-obscure horror titles which is why it shows available. don't get it what changed between yesterday and today.

why would it show as available, but not have the option for 'in-store' pickup?

Re: Best Buy Ad - 10/25 - 10/31/2009

I believe if the store has less than 3 copies of a title, it will show as "unavailable" on the website. It's always a crapshoot with BB. I want to pick up "Hardware" on Blu-ray, but the closest store that has it is 25 miles away. It might be at a closer store, but who knows??
