Same here.

Using the 20% off coupon, I picked up a ton of movies for $2.40 each. Too many, perhaps...

For example, 1 comment on Amazon about Mad Max Decades says it has a touched up picture and does NOT include the American English dubs, and not a word is said about the extras that used to be on the flipside. The case of the Decades Collection DVD of 12 Angry Men does not mention any extras whereas the Collector's Edition mentions lots of extras. Then of course there is a CD with some number of unlisted songs in each Decades DVD. Unfortunately Amazon chooses to mix customer reviews for all versions (including VHS) of their movies, so extracting the relevant ones from hundreds would be too time consuming.

Could anyone who has bought any of the Decades Collections for the DVDs so far seen at Big Lots (12 Angry Men, The Graduate, Carrie, and Mad Max) please post if the Decades Collection has all of the same extras and transfers as the previous edition(s) and what songs are on the CDs? Without that info it's almost impossible to know if these are good deals or just stripped down (missing extras) DVDs with a bonus CD of music I may or may not like or already have.
I have Carrie and Mad Max. Both of mine came with the music cd. Mad Max is a flipper with wide/full on one side and the special features on the other. The special features on the movie side are a commentary track and Mad Max trivia track, it is also anamorphic widescreen. Audio options are Australian 5.1, Australian Mono and English dubbed mono. The flip side has 2 documentaries, Australian trailer, tv spots, trailer for Terminator Special Edition DVD and an International poster gallery.

CD tracks include:

1. Don't Be a Hero - Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods

2. Maggie May - Rod Stewart

3. The Night Chicago Died - Peper Lace

4. ABC - Jackson 5

5. Ain't No Mountain High Enough - Diana Ross

6. Let's Get It On - Marvin Gaye

7. War - Edwin Starr

8. Reunited - Peaches & Herb

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Texan26 and ^MuYa^, thanks for the info on those DVDs! Now I know I can pass on The Graduate (since it's equivalent to the SE and not the Anniversary Edition), but Mad Max and Carrie should be fine.

^MuYa^, did Carrie and Mad Max have the exact same CD? If so, it may not matter if it's missing from Carrie as others have reported. I think I'll open my Carrie at a Big Lots so they can see if mine is missing the CD. It feels heavy but that might just be the booklet. So now I know the comments on Amazon about Mad Max Decades are (fortunately) wrong.

Now if someone could post these same details for 12 Angry Men, I'd be set until the next batch of Decades DVDs show up at Big Lots.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but Tremors is NOT Anamorphic. Finally watched it last night...disappointing.

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Saw some new and newer Universal/Sony releases today in Derry. There were newer Warner titles, and New Line too, but I have been skipping over most all of them now that they are all slashed.

Jabberwocky
John Wayne Collection 4 Film Favorites (They Were Expendable, Operation Pacific, Flying Leathernecks, Back To Bataan) WB
The Secret Life Of Words
Punch Drunk Love (Adam Sandler Essentials)
The TV Set
Imagining Argentina
American Crude
Once Upon A Time In China 3
Butterflies Are Free
The Don Is Dead
She Done Him Wrong
Opal Dream
Carrie (Decades Collection)
12 Angry Men (Decades Collection)
Man On The Moon
Traffic (Director's Cut)(Mini-Series)
Funny Games
Melinda and Melinda
Reservation Road
School For Scoundrels Unrated
Table One
Carried Away
Trespass
Lost Highway

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Today I managed:

Backbeat: Collector's Edition (w/ slipcase)
Conan the Barbarian (2000 DVD)
Dance, Girl, Dance
The Dark Backward
Here's Looking at You, Warner Brothers
Kiss Me Kate
The Prince and the Showgirl
The Sci-Fi Boys
So Proudly We Hail
Strange Bedfellows
Wolfen

I also noticed that my 20% discount from the Buzz Club is in a blackout, presumably due to the 20% coupon, which I luckily had on hand.

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Great haul today plus I used that 20% off coupon. Most sway.

San Bernardino, CA

Picked up a Roughnecks I didn't have, "The Tesca Campaign" (a single copy). I also finally found that set, "Too Cool For School Collection" (one copy, sorry). Also bought was "The Rhinemann Exchange", some weeks back Amazon recommended that title. I'm glad I waited, three bucks.

For four dollars I picked up what appears to be the complete series (12 episodes), "The Veil". Examined disc one. The episodes look pretty good, video quality. I'm impressed. I though I was gonna end up with the mess that was Mill Creek's "One Step Beyond" set (Wal-Mart bought). Should be cool.

I rebought "Tremors 2" for its wraparound. The DVD was purchased last year, but the thing was ripped. There were other copies, but in worse condition. I saw two copies of "Tremors 3" and gave them a shake to hear if it had an insert. Nope. My copy doesn't have one and I'm pretty sure it originally came with one.

This is for PopcornBandit and others interested. The R and NC-17 editions of "Inside Deep Throat" have different extras. Exclusive to R: "Cut Throat: Where In The World Is Bobby De Salvo" and "Princeton: Throat Deep In The Suburbs" featurettes. Exclusive to NC-17: "The Last Word For Now" featurette and commentary by directors Randy Barbato with Fenton Bailey. Both editions have the featurettes, "The Binghamton Trial: Cliterally Speaking" and "Quincy House: Poison Ivy League". I got curious and bought the R version today; already own the NC-17. I had an extra two disc case so I put both editions inside with the NC-17 wraparound.

Everything is mint. With the exception of "Too Cool For School", there are some light scuffs, but all the discs (and sides) have ripple surfaces. I'm sure they'll play. And yes, that packaging sucks big time!

The store had these new sets, Ghost and Haunting collections. Didn't really examine them. Maybe stuff that has aired on TV.

Found today in Columbus, Ohio...

Angel Face w/Robert Mitchum and Jean Simmons
Bing Crosby Double Feature...Rhythm on the Range/Rhythm on the River
Black Legion w/Humphrey Bogart
The Wrong Man w/ Henry Fonda (Hitchcock)

Also found "Amazon Women On The Moon" for $5.99 at a Wahlgreen's today. This may show up for $3 at BL sometime but I had to have it. One of my favorites!

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I got the following in the last 2 trips:

The Broadway Melody
Brothers (The Danish original that inspired the American remake with Tobey Maguire, Jake Gylenhaal and Natalie Portman)
Cincinnati Kid
The Good Thief
The Graduate (Decades Collections; It's going back due to the non-anamorphic transfer)
Inside Deep Throat
Lost Highway
Man on the Moon
The Man Who Knew Too Much
Out of Sight (DTS edition)
Saboteur
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Youth without Youth.

I'm still on the lookout for Unbearable Lightness of Being. I hope I find it before Sunday when the 20% off coupon expires.

A sizable restock at Kennett Square, PA...but of course NO Lost Highway. Unless someone snagged them before I got there. There were multiple copies of the Warner batch.
