Thanks for the heads up! I missed this one looking through the displays in spite of the fact that it's been the *lead* (and 2nd, and 3rd) DVD on the row since this assortment arrived (2 weeks?). You'd think I'd have noticed his face on the cover! I picked up a copy today. Because it's Sellers, it jumped to the top of the "watch soon" pile.

This is all good news - I actually DID blind buy this because of Sellers, but then came home and read a really bad review of here on DVD Talk. I was bummed after that. Maybe I'll watch it soon after all now!

Anyone think we'll end up seeing Simon & Simon Season 2 at BL?

I finally picked up Season 1 at BL on Saturday

No sign of McCloud seasons at BL

I bought Interview (Sienna Miller/Steve Buscemi) and some Best of SNL DVD's. That's it. I passed on I love You, Alice B. Toklas but am wondering if I should go back for it now...

I passed on I love You, Alice B. Toklas a few times, not a big Sellers fan & the movie doesn't seem that great. I might pick it up based on the good review in here tho....

Got Surface the complete series yesterday, i've never seen or heard of it but the box looked cool! And the summery on the back makes it sound interesting so it's worth a shot!

"Surface" was a good show that got cut off too soon. Same goes for "Invasion". Both shows ended with big cliffhangers.

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I've been somewhat lax in following this thread lately so I apologize if it's been mentioned already, but I picked up a Marx Brothers double feature today: The Big Store and Go West. Two Marx Brothers movies for $3 is just too good to pass up.

Yeah I found a Marx Brothers double feature, too. It was Room Service and At the Circus. Wish I'd found the one you got, I'm not so keen on Room Service!

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Made a trip to three Big Lots today and picked up:

Shaft/Shaft's Big Score/Shaft in Africa Triple Feature
Cleopatra Jones
I Love You, Alice B. Toklas
Highway

And an odd little movie called Horror House on Highway 5. The quote on the back of the case from Daniel Shea of IMDB reads:

Take some college students, put them in a van, throw in a killer in a Richard Nixon mask and BANG, you've got an instant classic.

The kicker is the running time of the movie is 173 minutes! That may include the "History of Hollywood Horror Films documentary, but if not, wow!

The movie is not that long & it really sounds better than what it is. I was really let down by it, horrible quality too....

Oh well. It was only $3 and I may get a couple of kicks out of it. Thanks though.

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Saw something called "Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital" complete 15-hour series for $15 at the Beverly, NJ, store, but left it behind.

Question: I've been looking for the McMillan & Wife set with no success, but I was just wondering for future searches: am I looking for a box (like Charles in Charge and Simon & Simon) or am I looking for a plastic case (like the Jeff Foxworthy Show)?

Thanks.

Actually, it's a box like "Kingdom Hospital", a cardboard case with two regular sized DVD cases inside.

It's true, they never do. I remember this past summer when they never sold Lois and Clark for $3. And they never sold all the seasons of the Adventures of Superman for $3 either. Oh, and there was a ton of cartoon sets, such as the Flintstones, that they never sold for $3 either......

/\ Indeed. In all honesty, if I were the OP, I would have asked for a manager. The cashier essentially created her own price, exceding the amount the item was priced at. That should never happen to a customer.

Really good movie (well, I'm a Jeffrey Hunter fan...) and it's OOP, so I recommend grabbing it if any of You see it.

Yesterday I grabbed:
Easter Parade
Living Out Loud

Saw (but passed on):
a Katie & Allie season box
several Saturday Nite Live compilations (all $4)
Purple Rain/Fame (almost grabbed, but Purple rain is FF, so I passed).
