Some Big Lots do have back stock. Some put their dvd's out slowly. Some have such a messy back room that they don't know what they have!! & some put everything out immediately.

That's exactly what I had been expecting. However, towards the tail end of the 30 day return windows after all the great $3 and $6 deals started, I still checked a couple Big Lots once or twice per week. I did not see a single new $3 or $6 set show up (just the same old Joeys, Dukes of Hazzard, and War at Home sets that are still there), so at least in my area there weren't enough returns to even notice. I stopped checking a while ago. Since the $3/$6 Warner sale started in July, it's been pretty boring at my Big Lots.

I remember when I did my big return batch near the end of my 30 day window, and the lady said I was the first person to return a significant batch.

I am told the next week includes a batch of dvd's with the internal Big Lots name of "DVD's - Easter". Interesting timing! Probably a restock.

picked up a double dvd for $6 of 1980s standup comedy with all big names (tim allen, ray romano, among many others) 40 different comedians taped at a comedy club called rascals, each doing about 10-15min of standup

The "Easter Assortment" is pretty lame. Only new titles that stick out is an anaimae series called either "Alien" or Aliens" & their were several copies of Robots. Restocks included several Garfield titles, several Hello Kitty, Bend It Like Beckham, Cpt John Smith & Pocahontas, Bush Xmas, several of the kids read along dvd's, & several that I've forgotten.

Mill Creek put out a vintage TV commercials disc, hope it shows up at Big Lots- haven't seen it anywhere else except online. The store I went to today had their game shows set, but I'm not going to have time to watch that in the near future, and from the review of it, I won't want to leave it on the shelf too long without actually watching it (it was the best DVD review I'd ever read- basically it wouldn't play at all so they couldn't review the content!)

I grabbed a Mill Creek disc called 1001 Classic Commercials which is 3 discs/16+ hours/2009 but I got it at Rite Aid for $6.99.

I'm just saying, because my dvd player i use is old that they got dvds stuck in it, it's a 5-disc dvd player.

You can take the machine apart and get the disc out if it gets stuck. Besides, there's other things you can do just in case a disc breaks, anyways (things we aren't allowed to talk about here.) I've ended up buying Lost In Translation twice anyways- once on regular DVD when it was on sale for less than 5 bucks, then again for about 3 bucks on HD-DVD. Never had time to watch the regular DVD and I don't have an HDTV yet so I'll have to wait to watch the HD-DVD- since I collect dead formats I got a player as soon as they went on clearance and grabbed all the cheap discs I could find, so I'll have plenty of stuff to watch when I finally do get the new TV.
