While browsing the Criterions at the Barnes and Noble web site, I noticed that they have 25 Paramount DVDs on clearance for $3.99 each.

I used the AAA discount for my orders with the Criterion sale, so I put one in my cart to test while logged in through AAA, and the 10% did come off. So I assume that the various coupons/discounts people are using will work with these too.

Titles include 1900 SCE (Bertolucci), The World of Suzie Wong, Islands in the Stream, Oh! What a Lovely War, bunch of others. Full list at this link:

Best Buy also has a display rack for these, but they're $4.99

Might use a few of these as fillers with a Criterion order or two to get over the $25 minimum to qualify for free shipping.

Not only can you use the 10% AAA discount, you can also use the coupon code AAASUMMER9 for an additional 15% off the most expensive item. I was able to buy the Criterion dvd of Friends of Eddie Coyle for a mere $11.46 plus tax. That's quite a bit less than it would have been at Deep Discount even with 25% off ($16.39 and no tax).

Yup...for Criterions, this sale blows DD out of the water. I've already used the 15% coupon twice (on two different B&N accounts) for my two previous Criterion orders.

Just placed a third order with AAA 10% discount stacked with the 20% general use coupon.

Got Seven Samurai three-disc SE for $17.99 plus tax.

That coupon is not working for me... I added 'Ace In the Hole' and 4 of these fillers and when applying the discount it returns with:

"Your order does not qualify for coupon AAASUMMER9. Please check the eligibility requirements for this coupon."

What gives?

Yes...if anyone hasn't checked the main B&N coupon thread yet, go to the first page of that thread and you will find all current coupons and requirements posted there. If you are not an AAA or B&N member, there are other coupons that anyone can use.

The 20% one takes 20% off the highest priced item in your order. Very handy.

EDIT: ...but it's expiring 7/28, so jump on it.

While searching The B & N web site, I noticed there are other $3.99 Paramount titles, other than those you can hyper-link from on the DVD sale home page. There is no listing of them and appear to be future releases, e.g. 9/15 (after the current clearance sale ends). One title is the 1970's "Murder On The Orient Express".
