They could have a restock shipment on it's way now or it might take weeks to months, it varies. But if you place your order you assure that you will get it for that price when it eventually ships.

Since I'm in Illinois, I have to factor tax into account when comparing the DD sale with Amazon's regular prices, but you would think that with a 25% off sale, you wouldn't have to do the math, but for many movies, including the Criterion titles, the final price works out about the same.

It should be obvious to everyone, but compare the prices before ordering. I had several titles in my Wish List and compared them with Amazon before placing my order. Some titles have huge discrepencies in prices, e.g. Wedding Singer Blu-ray is $12.99 at Amazon, but $22.23 at Deep Discount.

It's a shame that DD doesn't carry Troma DVDs anymore. I was looking forward to ordering The Last Horror Film and Combat Shock during the sale.

I just moved to Chicago a couple months ago, and didn't realize that I would pay tax for DD -- so I ended up only ordering 4 movies because the savings weren't so great once you factor in tax. On the upside, however, they shipped on Friday and I got them today (Mon), whereas it always took 2-3 weeks to get them when I lived on the East Coast.

Is anyone else having issues using the DVDPlanet.com 25% Off Code (25OFFSALE) on Pre-Orders? I put in like 7-8 upcoming titles and the code doesnt work... I dont know if it is because of what I picked or the combination or what? Thanks!

Are any of your pre-orders coming out after the sale ends? If so, they're not eligible for DVD Planet's sale, which only applies to pre-orders that are released during the sale period (i.e., between July 17 and Aug. 2).

P.S. This question is probably more appropriate in the DVD Planet Sale Thread.

Yes they all do... I guess that makes sense. Its just all this talk of how DDD doesnt do 25% off on pre-orders but DP does... I thought maybe I would luck out. Thanks!

Received my order today (free shipping). This has to be the fastest I've ever received anything from them.

Same here. Three BDs in a single bubble mailer. Kind of worried me, but they seem to be OK so far. Haven't opened any yet.

2. How do I get additional discounts / cash back besides the 25% off codes? I don't know anything about bing, etc.

3. Does DVDTalk get a kickback when I use the DVDTalk code?

Thanks, folks.
Anyone? Thank you.

Just fyi: I tried to get a pre-order thru DVDplanet that releases during the sale and I could not get the discount. I am just going to wait until it is released and then place a new order.

They left a message on my phone today about the sale. Also got a postcard in the mail from them on Saturday. Strangely they never sent an email about it.

1. August 2. See the title of this thread, and/or the subject line of your own post.
2. BING.com explains how to use BING.com better than any of us could. It's free, and easy to do. So are the other varieties, such as CASHBAQ.com and FATWALLET.com.
3. I seem to recall from earlier years that DVDTALK does not get a monetary reward, but does benefit in some other way. Perhaps someone from DVDTALK could answer this better.

Yeah when I got home from work my brother told me we got a call about the sale. I figure it could be useful for their customers that don't know/don't really follow their sale online.

Re: DeepDiscount Official Notice: 25% Off from 7/17 Through 8/2, 2009 (IT'S LIVE!!!!!

Quick Question: My memory is failing me here. I can get Grey's Anatomy Season 1 for $16.03 through this sale. Can I expect to do better for it somewhere else at another time. I keep thinking this goes to $10 occassionally, but I could be wrong. I'm not really into the used copies on ebay and such.

So to make my question quick: $16.03 for Grey's season 1: Good deal or not?

Thanks.

So are you asking if that's the best price right now? I was say yes. I've seen season 1 on sale at Best Buy for $14.99 in the past. It's entirely up to you if you want it or not. I would say go for it.

I've never seen it any cheaper than $14.99. Hell, the MSRP is $29.99.

Looks like DD pulled the Hens Tooth titles. I know some companies have requested that in the past...but Hens Tooth discs are already too expensive and the only time I might consider them is during sales. So, no sale Hens Tooth! (Boys in Company C)
