Thanks Trevor
The Alvin & Brittany plushes are $2.99 each for only with Blu-ray purchase. 1 discounted plush per Blu-ray. Regular price is $6.99. They are NOT exclusive merchandise and are just regular Ty beanie plush toys that you can purchase anywhere, but more expensive normally.

Re: All DVD exclusives and freebies - 5/31/09 and ongoing
Hi again, folks.
Sorry to have been away again, real life keeps pulling me away these days. Just to follow up on a few lingering matters...
Proof of that alleged Blockbuster exclusive comic book for Planet Hulk has since failed to materialize, despite checking with reps at about a half-dozen locations. Naturally, their lack of knowledge is hardly proof that something does not exist, but the only source of info on this item is the one rep at my local BB who insists that he saw it the first week of release (despite the fact that I was in that same store on release day, and saw no such thing). Incidentally, he now claims that this comic was actually exclusive to the Blu-ray version, something he did not specify when he first alerted me to it. So maybe I've just been asking the wrong questions of other store reps when asking if there was a comic book on the DVD. Anyway, at this point, I simply need to wash my hands of this whole matter and conclude that it likely does not exist, And that even if it does, I can certainly live without it... er, even though I know it will still gnaw at me a little...
Also, it looks like I missed out on the huge New Moon exclusive cavalcade in my absence. I'm not really into that series so I can thankfully take a pass on most of it. I did pick up the Target version with the bonus content, since it seemed like "the one to buy if you're only going to buy one." Having said that, I notice that the Borders version seems to claim that it too has additional bonus content. I saw it in store yesterday, and while the packaging is definitely unique to that store, the wording about any potential exclusive content was somewhat vague. I guess I've just grown wary of misleading ad copy after years of being duped by poorly-phrased Wal-Mart and Target stickers. Can anyone verify whether or not the Borders edition does indeed have unique audiovisual content, not available on other releases? I know that they did something similar with their original Twilight release last year, so this question goes for that title, too. Anybody know?
With regard to this week's Target exclusive Sherlock Holmes release, am I correct in my understanding that the enclosed comic book is the ONLY thing that differentiates this so-called "deluxe" edition from the standard single-disc edition? No additional video content at all? If that's the case, I again defer to my earlier remark about misleading or vague ad copy on these things. Essentially, you're paying an additional $5.00 for the privilege a "bonus" mini comic, attached to a rather bare bones DVD release. Not that I haven't already bought the damned thing, mind you...
And speaking of annoying Target exclusives, I did finally manage to find the elusive Justice League with the bonus disc a week or so after that title was released. Very odd how so few ever materialized, most of which seemingly arriving with later shipments. Frustrating moreso for folks like us, of course, less so for the average consumers who just see these exclusives as "oh, something free!"
Okay, I guess that's all for now. Again, sorry for my prolonged absence, hopefully I'll be able to check in more regularly in future...

2 more chains checked and updated. Anyone hit the others?
Welcome back Ajay! Thanks for the updates. Nothing much to add/answer your post, curious about both Twilight Borders releases as well. AFAIK, we are correct on Sherlock Holmes. Nothing different about Target's version except the comic book and the slipcover.

Honestly, I'm having hard time searching for New Moon Ultimate Keepsake Blu-ray Edition, but it appear to be a hoax or doesn't exist.

"Party Down: Season One"
Best Buy has an exclusive offer for a $25.00 gift card should you subscribe to Starz.
Wal-Mart has an exclusive bonus disc with two episodes from season two (which has yet to premiere).
WARNING!!!
Wal-Mart has sunken to a new low. Having those DVD cases with spaces in them to cut down in plastic was not enough.
This is the first time I have ever encountered it. The DVD case for Season One is a single disc holder with all three discs stacked. Pretty much ensuring that they'll get scratched up. I was lucky that my discs were mint. This BS has to stop. I'm surprised that the case didn't have missing plastic as well (holes).
You have been warned.

The first season of Party Down comes packaged in a glossy cardboard slipcover, and there's a plug for season two tucked inside. The case is one of those flimsy environmentally-friendly deals, and the two-disc set is the width of an ordinary DVD keepcase.

Unless this is one of their burned program, I imagine this will be exclusive to Amazon for a few months or so and then available everywhere.
