Anyone find "Falling Down" DE at B&M?

I've always loved this movie and thought the performances were great. with Nick's review here, really got me interested in picking this new edition up.

it isn't available for pick-up at any Best Buy (which is odd considering they usually have most releases) near me and wonder if anyone found and got it today, at Walmart or Target or some place and how much it was.

I haven't looked for it today. Target is hit or miss on catalog releases, as is Walmart. Amazon may be the only option. I can't believe the dvd is $14.99. I figured this one would have been a $10 title.

yeah, figured Target was no go, but was hoping Walmart and yeah should be $9.99. might not if $14.99.

I saw the Blu-ray at Best Buy. Wasn't about to pay $29.99 for it though. I didn't even look for it on DVD.

Re: Anyone find "Falling Down" DE at B&M?

My Best Buy had about 7-8 copies of the Blu-Ray in.
Never been a fan of the film though, it lacked the balls in needed to have any impact.

Didn't see this on Blu at Best Buy, but they had True Romance. Didn't buy either.

I heard that if you already have the original bare-bones release, it really isnt worth the double dip, that the bonus features arent that great, a short 10 min interview with michael douglas, and a comentary pieced together from various sources. only worth it if you want the blu-ray upgrade. if you dont already own the original release though, it is a great film and very worth owning.

Hell, just getting rid of the snapper case alone is reason enough to upgrade.

Hell yeah! That's at least 20% of the reason I upgraded mine to the blu-ray. Now if Warner would just send it to me...

I agree. Now, The Shawshank Redemption released from WB in DigiBook. Now THAT, was a movie with impact. It made me cry and grasp my Morgan Freeman plush to the point where the stuffing came popping out its rear.

Damn it, you got me all emotional now.

The snapper release transfer is not even close the level of quality of the one on the Deluxe Edition. I am still impressed at how good they did on the remaster.

I'm waiting as well. I thought that the WB Shop got their shit together. Obviously they haven't. They even took their phone number off of their website so that people couldn't call in and complain about their orders. Now that sucks!

Best Buy in Milpitas had all the catalog new releases. Purchased Falling Down for $18.99 with price match.

I would say so. I remember renting the snapper a few years back and and it was typical of early Warner releases; dirty looking and sporting digital artifacts. I checked a few of the older reviews as well and saw even when it came out, reviewers didn't find it very impressive.

Re: Anyone find "Falling Down" DE at B&M?

I have the BD and the original snapper DVD which was pretty bad and the PQ upgrade is huge. Audio maybe not so much, but there are a little bit of extras at least on the BD.

posting a thread about a brand new release which is typically the lowest price on release day to find out the lowest price and where it can be found is not so catastrophic that it cannot be posted in the "Bargains Forum" so it gets seen and people can help out like they have already done.
