Would love to update my collection with more westerns and older classics, a few box sets would be good as well. Need Magnum PI season 8 to finish that series out, still waiting on the last few of JAG and NCIS. Then Macgyver.
I picked up the sole copy here today along with:

$3/ea (WB unless otherwise noted)
Darkest Knight (Key DVD)
The Wild Bunch - 2D SE (slashed UPC)
Ninotchka
They Were Expendable
The Last Samurai - 2D
The Right Stuff - 2D SE
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within - 2D SE (Columbia)
Jesus Christ Superstar (Uni)
The Bonesnatcher (First Look)
Wife vs. Secretary
Annie Oakley
Doctor Faustus (Columbia)
Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (FS - *but* this was filmed "open matte" and if this version is the unmasked negative print then I'm OK with it)
The Telegraph Trail
Tall in the Saddle
Kitty Foyle
Follow the Fleet (slim pack)
There was a Crooked Man... (slashed UPC)

$6/ea.
Joey - S1
The Scooby-Doo Collection

*still* no Bonds... not a big deal as I only need 3 to complete the series and they are very much the "lesser" titles...

If they don't stop with the new stuff I'll not have anything left for the upcoming DD sale! That could be good *or* bad...

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Store nearest me (Red Bluff) started getting some of the other seasons in during the last 3 days - however, only 1-3 copies on most seasons of ER, Friends, Dallas, Wonder Woman Complete, WW S2, S3 and a few others. Others - Roots, Knots Landing, Super Friends v2, Animaniacs v2, etc - had 6-10+ copies of each title. The 1-3 titles went pretty fast(only a few odd seasons left of each series).

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Went back again...they just finished unloading the trailer so nothing will be put out until tomorrow or later. I did grab that New Scooby Doo Movies (the hour-long toons with the guest stars from the early 70's). $6 is a steal as Amazon wants $53 for it.

Oh, I checked those Superbowl sets again for those of you looking for the first set in the series and they didn't have that one. I'll keep a lookout for it (and all the other most wanted titles) and hookup/trade at cost.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

After calling all the Big Lots in my area a few times in the last few weeks with no luck, I finally found one that just put out these sets this morning, so 6 hours later I was surprised to find the majority of what I wanted. I didn't know anything about a lot of these series, so I tried to grab 1 of most things except for a few such as Smallville S7 Blu-Ray and Wonder Woman Complete. There were 3 copies of each which I grabbed, but somehow the 3rd Wonder Woman Complete must've fallen out of my cart (fortunately I wasn't charged for it). I guess someone will be happy to find that.

I've never seen any of these series except for some Dukes of Hazzard, Flintstones, Friends, Roots, Scooby Doo, Smallville, and Wonder Woman. I'll have to read reviews to see if I want to keep, return, or trade the others.

Animaniacs V1 & V2
Blade the Series
Dallas S1/2, S3, S4, S6, S7, S8, S9
Drew Carey Show S1
Dukes of Hazzard S4, S5, S6
ER S2, S3, S6, S7, S9
Flintstones S1
Friends S1, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, S9
History of Rock 'n Roll
Jamie Foxx Show S1
Joey S1
Knots Landing S1
Life Goes On S1
Night Court S1
Nightmares & Dreamscapes
Nip/Tuck S4
OC, The S2
Pinky and the Brain V1
Roots (2)
Scooby Doo S1/2
Scooby Doo New Movies Golden Collection 1
Scooby Doo Collection 3-pack (Great Mystery, Winter Wonder Dog, Meets the Boo Brothers)
Scooby Doo 5-pack (Where My Mummmy, Monster of Mexico, Loch Ness Monster, Legend of the Vampire, Zombie Island)
Six Feet Under S3
Smallville S4
Smallville S6 HD-DVD
Smallville S7 Blu-Ray (3)
Thundercats S2 V2
Tracey Takes On S2
West Wing S2
Wonder Woman Collection (2)

SKIPPED:
Dragon Ball Z something
LA Lakers box set
NFL set
Thundercats S1 V2

I want:
Dallas S5
Friends S2
Friends S10

I might want:
Animaniacs V3
Dukes of Hazzard S7
ER S1,S4, S5, S8
The OC S1, S3
Pinky and the Brain V2
Scooby Doo S3
Thundercats S1 V1 and S2 V1
Wait Til Your Father Gets Home S1
West Wing S1

Most Big Lots said they hadn't seen any of these sets yet. One said they put the stuff out this Monday and early Tuesday some guy bought cleaned them out (obviously to resell). One mentioned that they were supposed to be in an upcoming ad which if true means that other stores were putting them out early and weren't supposed to? Well, hopefully I'll have a few more shots at this.

I guess there will be a bunch of trading going on in the trading forums as people try to piece together complete series from various Big Lots. The only other options are eBay (which I hate) or trading into FYE or Blockbuster. I don't suppose anyone has checked which are the most valuable sets for trade-ins?

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Correction: Scooby Doo Collection 3-pack contains the old episodes too.

Greatest Mysteries: contains episodes from Scooby Doo: Where Are You!
Winter Wonder Dog: contains episodes from The New Scooby Doo Mysteries, Scooby Doo: Where Are You!, and Scooby and Scrappy Doo.
Meets the Boo Brothers aired on tv in the 80's.

Today, I also saw a 2-pack of "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" for $6.00.
I believe they were single discs with 4 episodes each.

I've never seen Animaniacs....until tonight! I watched a few episodes on Youtube and I've been laughing my ass off! Gonna have to hit BL first thing in the morning and grab V1 & V2!

EDIT: Especially loved the parodies of Barney, Power Rangers, and Star Trek! LOL

Thats nice to hear man. They truly are hilarious. Its got a great mix of classic cartoon slapstick, but with parodies and satire as well. Just very intelligently written humor.

Thanks for the correction. I did not know this. The artwork on the box is new animation, so I just assumed... Now I want to get this! I saw plenty of them yesterday. Hopefully they are still there...

Do you recommend Pinky & The Brain as well? I watched a couple clips and thought they were good, but not as good as Animaniacs.

Have people been finding either of the Thundercats Season 2 sets? If so, I'll be on a Big Lots hunting spree every day trying to find them and Animaniacs V.3.

The only other Bond movies I saw were "Die Another Day", "Tomorrow Never Dies" and "Otcopussy".

I own the first two already , and I don't think I could ever bring myself to own "Octopussy".

I don't know if they are all 2006 discs or I just hit major gold.

The Bravados (Fox title)
Pennies From Heaven
Year Of The Dragon
The History Of Rock 'N' Roll
Superfriends: The Legendary Super Powers Show: The Complete Series
Challenge Of The Super Friends : The First Season

Left on the shelf:
Dukes S4,5,6
West Wing S2
ER S2
Animaniacs S1,2
OC 2
Roots
Joey S1
Night Court S1
Nightmares and Dreamscapes
Dragonball Z set
LA Lakers set
Scooby Doo Collection 3-pack (Great Mystery, Winter Wonder Dog, Meets the Boo Brothers)

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Found just about everything at a local store sans a few items (Greenville, SC) except what I wanted - Anamaniacs! Grrr. Gonna try another store today.

I would pick up the West Wing set, but I can't justify owning one season and then having to pay much more for the rest for that type of show.

I did pick up a copy of Eating Raoul, though. Seems like it would be a riot.

Did they have any of the smallville blurays there in Greenville or the wonder woman set? I'm gonna be passing through SC tomorrow and would stop by if it were worth it to me
