No problem and it looks like it ships now from there.

Though not at BIG LOTS at any price, SCARLET STREET has been released in a very good transfer by KINO, both on SD and on Blu Ray. I haven't checked lately, but it had been one of KINO's more reasonably priced titles. I paid $12.99 for the Blu. It's by far the best version available.

After writing this, I did some searching on Amazon for Woman in the Window, which I'm unlikely to even wound for now that it's only available colorized, and there was the Kino Scarlet Street. I'll have to keep an eye out for a good price...they're also supposed to have good prints of "Nothing Sacred" and "A Star is Born" as well. Prices for those, whoever...not so good. $21.99 at J & R in NYC for "Sacred" with no decent extras? No thanks.

KINO's essentially bare bones Blu releases of public domain movies are notoriously overpriced and they don't always get good reviews for decent transfers. Buyer beware when it comes to KINO.

Mine finally put this out. Got the That 70's show set.

Is Grounded for Life any good?

Went to the Wal-Mart in Newport, R.I. yesterday, and found a bunch of stuff in the $5 bin that hasn't shown up yet at the location closer to me (Fall River, Mass.). The F.R. one can be stagnant for quite a long period, so maybe other people have already seen these elsewhere...

Arthur...The Russell Brand one
Beastly
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark
Dylan Dog: Dead of Night
Drive Angry
Fragile
The Green Hornet
The Last Exorcism
Something Borrowed
Source Code
The Wolfman...The Benicio DelToro one

At the checkout, the cashier seemed to think that Source Code had been priced wrong because of the way it rang up. I told her it was marked on the shelf at $5.00 and scanned at their price checker for the same. She didn't care one way or the other, she was just making small talk while cashing me out. She said she was going to go grab one herself before they caught on and changed it. So YMMV on that one.

Woman In The Window is very much worth owning. Good news is it's often on TCM.

Thanks for posting this list. Most of these were marked at the local Walmart for $5 except The Green Hornet which was still marked $10 on the shelf tab. Not a Seth Rogan fan, but I have always been a GH fan so for $5 I will try it. Still searching the two Sanford FL area Walmarts for Dr. Goldfoot double feature. I tried finding this on the Walmart website but it is not listed yet.

Which version of The Omen? I've seen the original at Big Lots for $3 recently.

^Oops! Just did a quick look at the "new" stuff and I'd accidentally dropped it in the WM stack. It was the $3 one from BL.

I was very happy to find The Woman in the Window/ The Stranger today!!!!! Even with the cut ending on The Stranger its far better than any of the other releases I have seen of it.

Also found Foreign Intrigue, 1956/The Quiet American, 1958.

Will have to start paying more attention to the 5.00 walmart bin and go through it like I used to. If only I had a cart with me.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

Today I found a 2 films Dvd of James Coburn: The first is a tv movie Sins of the Father, The second (why I bought it) is A Reason To Live, A Reason To Die. This spaghetti western was released in a limited edition years back on Dvd by Wild East Productions. It is listed as sold-out on their web site. There is one for sale at Amazon by a 3rd party for 124.95!!!

Also found an Echo Bridge release, 8 Spaghetti Westerns for 5.00. From the package 6 of the 8 look to be widescreen. Have not checked the quality yet though.

They have it on sale at Target for $11.99 each but only until tomorrow and they have the exclusives for Season 5, 6 and 7-9 (Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour) at Target only for $11.99. If you didn't open them, take them back and get them cheaper at Target until tomorrow night.

Has anyone ordered and received a copy of Goldfoot from Oldies? The Sept. 25th release date has come and gone, and Amazon still lists the title as coming soon. I've given up on ever finding treasures at the WMs and BLs around here, but I don't want to place and order with Oldies if they don't have any in stock, either.

Went into the DVD dept in the Walmart in Griffin GA. They were redoing their dept. at the very same time Target is to(at least at the two closest to me) Are other walmarts doing this too?

How are they re-doing it exactly?

I went in one the other day and though it laid out a bit odd compared to most others.
