dvd deals at albertsons supermarkets

I was in an albertsons supermarket shopping this evening and noticed a large table of dvds marked anywhere from 2.99 up to 6.99. alot of it was the typical fair we have all been seeing at ross and big lots. a particularly good deal I found though was the original teenage mutant ninja turtles series full season sets. they had season 4 for 5.99 and season 5 for 4.99. season 4 was an even better deal than season 5 even though it was priced a dollar more. season 5 is a 3 disker with 18 episodes while season 4 is a 5 disker with 39 episodes. I much prefer the newer ninja turtles series with its darker and grittier, more action oriented style as opposed to the much campier original series, but at these prices, I couldnt resist.

Re: dvd deals at albertsons supermarkets

Last week I noticed the Albertsons bin had some hd-dvds. I got The Scorpion King for $4.99. They had several copies of a few different movies.
All I can remember is Evan Almightly, Slither and The Skeleton Key. I'll try to get back down there and report back with more titles.

I noticed a bunch of hd-dvds for around $5 as well, but didnt mention it being it is a failed format and didnt think there was much interest in it anymore. I wont even go to blu-ray until the players have dropped under $100 and I am positive that all players will be backward compatible with the regular dvd format. I will not!!! replace the bulk of my movie collection again.

They OCCASIONALLY get the official Warner Charlie Chaplin 2 dvd sets for $2.99. By far the best deal I've ever seen at Alby's.

Speaking of super markets here in Mass. at the Hannifords down the street I saw Anatomy of a Murder for $9.99 . Not super cheap but the cheapest I have ever seen that movie.
