Re: Target Media Prices - March 22 - March 28

has anyone tried price matching the Target price of $15.99 for Lilo & Stitch, then doing the $10.00 off L&S and 2-disc Bolt, and the $5.00 off Bolt coupon @ Best Buy?

I also had a big hassle with trying to get the $10 off with the 2-disc Bolt. I didn't get it, BTW.

So do you actually get an additional $10 off when you buy both Bolt & Stitch? I'm asking because even then, the manager I spoke with tried to say you're saving $10 because of the sale prices and there's not an additional $10.

The Target Exclusive book with the QoS 2-disc is called "James Bond Vehicles".

The $10 is only for the 1 disc Bolt and Lilo and Stitch according the the shelf tags I saw at Target today.

I went ahead and got the 1 disc Bolt and used a $5 coupon too. The register took $10 off for buying both, and then $5 for the coupon. So it was like picking one of them up for the sale price and one for 99 cents.

not sure if this is typical or new or weird, as i dont shop target too frequently, but upon purchase of quantum of solace, the register printed out a $5 coupon off any james bond dvd. hmm... return purchased copy and repurchase with the coupon?

I think I'll try this. I was going to wait until the inevitable double dip to buy QoS, but that exclusive is calling my name.

just imho, the exclusive is a just a tad underwhelming. i havent opened it yet,but it appears slightly dinky compared to some of the earlier tarjay exclusives in respect to the slipcase and book. just less sturdy of a slipcase and the book is smallish and kinda squeezed inside. stupid economy i guess.

Thanks Hindolio. I'm getting better about avoiding silly or slight exclusives, but it's a slow process.

I personally would hold off on buying the Target exclusive. About a month after they're released, they seem to be available in-store for usually $19.99.

depending on the exclusive and price, i have experimented with buying a tarjay exclusives on release day or waiting for a price drop (as in your suggestion). sometimes it works wonderfully, but in one particular instance, it has been painfully unsucessful for me. the juno script

Since Target has a 90-day return policy, if I'm ambivalent about buying an exclusive, I'll buy it anyway and keep it unopened. If it sells out, I'll have the luxury of deciding to keep it rather than running around looking for a copy. If the price drops, I can buy another copy at the lower price and return the more expensive one.

^ Same here. I buy pretty much all their exclusives just in case, but end up returning at least half due to price drops or changing my mind.
