Couldn't pass it up for $26 (orig. $41.99), especially for an OOP Criterion.

I'm tempted to get Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on Blu-ray so that I have disc-art and not a flipper like my HD DVD/DVD combo disc. I'm not sure if it's worth it or not though.

Should have gone for John Woo's The Killer (another OOP Criterion) and a much better movie !

I cannot for the life of me find this on SecondSpin. If I search to sell by UPC (057373151716), it says they're overstocked. However, searching to buy (no option to buy via UPC) doesn't pull up the relevant item, just other movies with "INVASION" in the name.

Any ideas?

Quick question because I've never ordered from this company.

Do they pretty much guarantee that you won't get scratched discs or buffed up ex-rentals?

I know dvdplant is very picky and even the local record store in town won't take a dvd for trade in that has a scratch or if the case isn't pretty close to pristine.

Can I expect the same from SecondSpin?

It really depends, on the site it sounds like they are beyond picky but I've received stuff nasty stuff from them with scratches, marker writing, stickers, & other stuff. About 90% of the time, their stuff is perfect or basically brand new plus their customer service is top notch so they'll replace damaged DVDs if they have it in stock, if not you get credit on your account.

Thanks, I'll probably pick up a couple of discs that have been indefinitely delayed on BD and not try and pick up anything else.

I did notice, that while they have some good deals on used dvds, that there were several USED blu-rays and even several USED standard def discs that they are selling for what you can get them brand new on amazon.

That didn't make a lot of sense to me. Example: $23.99 for a used Hancock BD? That's ridiculous.

It could show up again though...with secondspin if someone puts an item in their cart, or at wherehouse.com, it won't show as in stock for anyone else until it's out of their cart again.

Already grabbed it (as well as Hard Boiled) last year through Amazon's Marketplace for about half of what SecondSpin is looking for.

Plus I've been wanting to use that credit for a while and have always wanted to see the film, so couldn't have come at a better time.

Yeah, there were only 2 copies of Invasion when I got mine, so looks like Starman9000 grabbed the last one.
