DVD Talk Platinum Edition
The banner on the top says "Free shipping -- no minimums" so I guess this qualifies.
Something Weird Sampler (Extra Weird Sampler) for 3.69 ..
I got mine free some years ago at Borders but would probably pick this up otherwise.

Just a warning- all the trailers on this have an "SWV" bug/watermark in blocky letters. I wanted to gouge my eyes out after watching all of it.

Pick this up if you're even mildly contemplating it. It's a hoot, and a steal at that price.

I have all the 42nd Street Forever collection and this is a pretty good complement. Although the SWV watermark often appears, I didn't find it obtrusive at all. No more than when I watch a network TV show and ignore the little bug in the corner.Originally Posted by JackBurton

Actually, bugs and on-screen promos are the reason I seldom watch anything other than news and sports on TV anymore. Lucky for me all the shows I want to see eventually turn up on DVD. (not wishing to derail the thread, just to thank Alan Smithee for pointing out the friggin bugs...)Originally Posted by rich-y

Here's a nice story regarding the "Something Weird" Sampler.
There was a movie I saw at the drive-in way back in grade school. All these years, I only remembered a couple scenes and always wondered what the movie was. The 2 scenes were 1) a guy in a convertible going down a winding road with an arrow in his neck, and 2) women tied to a rotating machine where metal rods were scraping against their clothes/skin as they went by.
Fast forward a few years ago when I got the sampler. As I'm watching.... suddenly... there it is! The trailer for THAT MOVIE I've been trying to remember all these years.
The movie? Bloody Pit of Horror. I immediately bought it and now I have it forever
