Taco, I e-mailed them on Friday but followed up with a phone call today. I just wanted to get my name in there before they were inundated with requests, now that this info has come to light! If I'm not mistaken, you're the poor fellow who ordered this DVD from CC.com, only to have it arrive sans the exclusive CD card (despite your efforts to confirm otherwise). Sounds like you're a similarly driven collector. Hopefully there will be enough of these damned things to go around, to reward folks like you and me who went above and beyond to find them. I received an e-mail response back today from Ryan asking for a mailing address. He is sending me whatever ones they have. No charge!

I got my email this morning from Ryan at IActivecards. He told me to forward him my address and he would forward me a couple of cards. I'll keep you guys inform on what I receive. He said he would mail this week or early next week. So, I assume we won't see anything til maybe next Friday.

Hmmm... I have thus far received no such notification, even though I have both e-mailed and called.

Okay, just to bring this matter to its satisfactory conclusion, today I received the much sought-after "Hellboy II" interactive card from the aforementioned studio who created it. Huzzah! After all the time and effort poured into this endeavor, this is the perfect way of finally putting the matter to rest. The studio folks were also kind enough to send me other i-cards they had designed, like "Fantastic Four: ROSS," "The DaVinci Code" and "Ghost Rider." Their excellent customer service and a very cool customer service rep made this the best part of the process by far! Hopefully those of you who also requested this item will also be receiving it shortly. My thanks again go out to Sandman for somehow finding "the source" and to everybody else for their helpful suggestions (and occasional commiseration).

Now to bask in the glory of this victory, until the next elusive exclusive turns my world upside-down...

That is amazing customer service, especially since you weren't directly their customer (and the actual customer went out of business without paying their debt, I assume). Glad you were able to score the card. Getting the other cards is a bonus. Well done!

I received mine yesterday. I requested two cards; "Hellboy II" and "Juno" and received six. Sway!

Well... one of them is damaged, "The DaVinci Code" - but not on the data, a corner got crushed. That's okay. This would be a copy. I already own this.

It feels kinda weird. I own one of the last store exclusives from Circuit City, that didn't get released ("Hellboy II"). My inner collector smiles.

For a future Trivial Pursuit answer. The very last store exclusive was a keychain for "Saw V" (January 20th, 2009).

I received the card(s) I requested with no problems. Great guy to deal with (Ryan) but when I tried to contact him/them again about a couple other cards that were shown I never heard back from him/them again. Did they go under as well?!?

Received an envelope from them after my request, but it came in one of the dreaded plastic bags from the Post Office, with the "I'm sorry" message. Note from him and the size of the imprint in the envelope shows that he meant to send me 5 or so cards, only one came thru. Never got around to emailing him back.

That sucks, Trevor. Hopefully they are nice enough to re-send. I, too, received like 6 different cards (one didn't have a sleeve, so was scratched to hell). Last week, before CC closed, I noticed a Horton Hears a Who I-card at the checkout lane. They didn't have the DVD anymore, so they let me have the card. It wasn't one of the ones I got in the mail, so it was neat to get another one...

Thanks Ken, but unless I'm badly mistaken, those aren't them. I own those.

What I'm looking for were definitely promo type discs, given out as freebies if you bought certain qualifying titles. I think I saw one once, back in 2004 or earlier, but that was before I went all OCD on these things. Have never seen them on ebay. Think I saw one or two people here mention them back in the day.

yep from my knowledge, those will be harder to find than finding a legit white ring criterion salo on greedbay before the re-release. they are like urban legend now. good luck!

I wasn't aware of those... Well, if I ever come across one I'll let you know. I think it's funny B&N used to give them out for free, then saw dollar signs in their eyes and started charging for them in 2005...

I sent a similar request way back and never got even a response, much less any cards. Guess they are picking and choosing who to send cards too. grrrr....

I actually think they are two completely separate series.

The ones you linked are/were available for sale everywhere. The B&N exclusive ones were quite different, and came in thin cardboard packs iirc.
