Thanks a ton Rob!

I never pulled the trigger on it during the 20% DD, but this with a 10% coupon is a sweet price.

bohemian1, thanks for the pic but I've seen it before. What I was wondering is if they come in pocket sleeves like the M*A*S*H set that can scratch discs easy or in good cases like the Buffy & Angel sets?

I just used the coupon U9C9L4K to save an additional 10% ($8.00), getting the price down to $71.99 plus tax (with free expedited three business day shipping); you don't have to be a member to use this coupon.

Each disc comes in its own square cardboard sleeve, collected in groups of 4 in small boxes to look like LPs in an LP box. I didn't have any problems with scratching with the set I got, though there was a set of fingerprints on one disc (from the manufacturing process?) which I could not clean off (though it did not affect playback). (I'm getting the second set as a gift)

Thanks RobCA,

I applied the following discounts to get it down to $61.19 + $5.98 shipping to Canada:

B&N membership -10%
B&N Code -15%

Plus for people in Canada, go through GreatCanadianRebate.com to save an additional 3%.

I wonder if it was this price a few days ago, when there were 25% off coupons... I guess we'll never know...

Never tried with them. Worst case scenario, you send the new one back for a refund using your old receipt. That's a pretty big price difference. Their 800# is open today, so call them as ask for an adjustment. If they won't do it, order a new one and send that one back.

For you non-B&N members, you can use the military link to save 6% off, in addition to the coupon, but then you can't get cash back. So I guess it depends on whether you'd rather save 6% now, or get 12% back later... And of course, if you have a B&N MC, you can save 20% with coupon N7P8K9P. It is once per email account, but you can open up a new account (which sucks if you are a member though)

Wow that is a great price!!!

I picked up the set a few weeks ago at costco for a little over $100 and it was worth every penny. With the exception of "Charmed" this set definitely gets my vote for best complete series packaging ever!

Thanks for you help!
I really hate Barnes & Noble customer service so I'm not going to bother calling them. I'll just do the rebuy return thing.

Just keep in mind that their return policy is 14 days from the DELIVERY. So whenever you received your first one, you have 14 days from that point to send it back. I assume as long as it is postmarked by that date, you are fine, but I'd send it back right away once you receive the new one...

Awesome! For this price, I'll save a little room and get the signed script thing by picking this up and selling off my individual season sets.

Yeah I paid the $6 something for the Air Service just to make sure I have asap. Well I'm in PA and it has to go to NJ so that shouldn't take too long I hope.

BN.com purchased items can also be returned to the store. I have done this before.

There policy says that you get a store credit vs gift card when returning BN.com items to in-store, but once I got refund to my credit card and another time got the store credit, no choice given in either case, they jsut did it that way.

Save ya some postage and chance of missing the 14-day window.

Of my 10+ store returns, I was only given c/c credit ONCE. They usually insist on giving store credit (which is their policy). Borders does the same thing. So although it is possible to get money back in-store, the odds are against you...

Well I guess I'm stuck with it for $128.xx because I just got this email "Due to an unexpected delay, we are unable to ship the merchandise listed below in the time frame indicated in our previous email. We anticipate that your merchandise will be shipped within the next 1-5 business days. (Please note: business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays observed by the Post Office.)"
Now the expected ship date is December 29th so I just decided to cancel the order. Win some loose some.

and now I get this email
"We have received your request to cancel your order # xxxxxxxxx.
Unfortunately, we are unable to complete this request, as your order has entered the shipping process or has already shipped. We apologize for any inconvenience."

I have received that email before, only to have it ship the very next day. I wouldn't be worried. But if you would rather play it safe, I know it's a pain in the ass, but go somewhere else and buy it temporarily, just so you can send it back to B&N right away to get your $128 back. Then when you receive your new one, return it to whereever you bought it from... I know it's a lot of extra work, but you're kind of committed at this point. Maybe wait to see if it ships tomorrow, and if it doesn't, consider this alternate method...

Thanks OP! Just ordered a set as a gift. I'm not a BN member but used code U9C9L4K code to get 10%. Also used cashback but the discount doesn't appear in my account yet so not sure if that went through. Free shipping and the 10% covers the tax so great deal.

It usually takes several days for the credit to appear in your account after making a purchase from B&N.
