That's weird, I've already placed two orders (found something else I wanted right after I placed the first order, lol) and both times, the discount remained throughout the checkout process. The order confirmation e-mails reflect the discounted price too.

F.Y.I. for everyone having problems with the price jumps in the cart. When you search for a dvd, click on dvd to go to its item page before adding it to your cart. You can see on the item page if the price is different before adding it.
