After reading all of these posts & seeing my account, not sure what my order status really is anymore. Placed order on 11/30. Hours later I get cancellation emails on all titles in my order. Titles are still listed on site, so I re-order. That order stayed, but titles were all listed as "Backorder". They stayed that way until just an hour or so ago - where they are now showing "In Process". Go figure. :confused:

So now what?! Are they going to cancel our orders or are they going to be in limbo forever?

So one out of two of my three disc orders have been cancelled. But the first one has been changed from backordered to in process I believe. This has me so confused as whether I may receive anything! I don't have high hopes though.

These discs really may as well be characters on Lost with Borders being the Island! Three of my discs are now dead, and the other three are still who knows what the heck is going on!

And there we go. Checked my email this morning and ALL of my orders have now been cancelled.

I'm not really angry at not getting in on the deal, if there was even one to begin with, I'm angry at the stupidity of leading thousands of people to believe they may have gotten one and the fact that their web site is happening in 2008, not when the web first became big.

You'd think that this day and age web sites would be connected to databases that tell you when things are out of stock and prevent you from buying more.

Nope. Not Borders, who prices box sets at this price and didn't expect this mess to happen. Any idiot could have warned them. I'll bet someone did and the corporate mindset ignored the individual.

Well, Borders, you could have had your first sale ever from me. Now you'll have to wait until you actually have a REAL deal!

I had the first 5 seasons of Sopranos on DVD, was debating on selling them for the box set. Getting these delivered would erase that box set temptation.

Mine got canceled as well.....grrrrrr especially since I went ahead and ordered the venture HD-DVD player....and I really wanted that Planet Earth....

Is there a picture of the Heroes set next to the Sopranos set in your order history? They have a picture of the Heroes set next to my two Sopranos sets and the link takes me to the Heroes product description page. If my order does somehow get shipped, they better not send me 2 copies of Heroes in lieu of The Sopranos!

I ordered the Shrek the Third HD-DVD for $9.98 just to up my order to $25 for the free shipping, but I got an email today that the HD-DVD was no longer available and was canceled from my order, but nothing about the other DVD. I hope they still give me the free shipping, since that was what I really wanted anyway.

My 2 copies of Royal Space and Freedom #1 "shipped' today from Borders.

I spoke to Borders customer service as they cancelled 15 out of my 16 orders. I didn't even realize I had selected 'Talk To Me' as one of my orders - and lucky me - it was the one that shipped. *sigh*

Customer service gave me the 'once stock ran out, and inventory caught up the outstanding orders were cancelled' line. I'll be interested to see if folk are lucky enough to get any of the good titles shipped. If there even was any stock to begin with.

Unfortunately, or fortunately for some, this is par for Borders, one of the worst site ever for a major retailer. Anyone familiar probably has a story or ten to tell regarding their incompetency. There was a $5 off an item fiasco, then the infamous 80% off CS code that was made public inadvertently which led people to figure out the 70% off code, and now this. Personally, I never expect any of my orders from Borders to ever ship so when I do get one or two, I'm happy.

One of the saddest sentences that I have ever read.:lol:

Zodiac, Beowulf and Black Snake Moan all canceled- CC not charged. Damn-these were the last titles I really wanted too!

Backorder last night, and now "In process" with a pending charge to my card. I'm not expecting this to go through, but I can hope. Well, cross my fingers anyway.

Both Sopranos HD DVD canceled. Wings Of Mayonnaise was canceled as well.

Borders really outdoes themselves time after time. They really have gone to s**t. For my first order from early on in the sale of The Sopranos 1 and 2 and Planet Earth, The Sopranos sets were cancelled, PE is still processing. I then called and had a CS agent reorder The Sopranos sets for me, and that order is still processing. But I would be shocked if we get any of these box sets.

After all this time, if I click through to the Sopranos sets from my order history, it still indicates shipping in 24 hours and allows you to add it to your cart. Yet they've been cancelling everyone's orders and telling people it was a price mistake. They are truly terrible.

The Fountain and Ant Bully just shipped for me, I've got a bunch more on order including all the box sets and status still shows "In Process".

Just had both Sopranos and Best of HD cancelled. This is such a joke. I ordered these like 3 days ago and am just receiving emails. Won't be ordering anything from Borders in the future.

Has anybody who ordered Planet Earth received a shipping confirmation yet?

Not a peep, and the 3 items I ordered are now represented by BSG S1 images, and all link to it. Their site is made of so much broken and fail it's almost gone from funny to tragic to back to funny again.

I think I'll hop on that. Not like anything from Borders order is going to ship. Ever.

My order got cancelled on tuesday, ordered at Frys and got it today.

Borders doesn't sell HD DVDs at their stores. They pulled them a while back.

It's now $29.99 and out of stock. I hope that you got your order placed in time, Andrigaar.:)

I don't think I did. I put it in my cart and started fishing for another so I could do free shipping (wasn't concerned about speed on the order) and it was moved to my saved items list by the time I went to the checkout.

I moved it to the cart and it the order followed through, but we'll see what happens.

I finally called today... I have Battlestar, Planet Earth, and Heroes all "in process" status... my Sopranos was previously cancelled... the friendly girl I talked to advised me that in process means backordered and since they aren't going to get any more in, I shouldn't expect to ever see them... she wanted to cancel my order but I told her to just leave it pending and let the system cancel it when it does... she said it would continue to periodically authorize that amount on my credit card and I said that was ok as long as there was no charge until shipping...

Yeah, my Sopranos are still In Process but I'd be shocked if they ever are shipped. And BS about it being backordered, I ordered mine fairly early so I think either they didn't have that many (like less than 20 or something) or they're just not going to ship them at all (and maybe send them back to the studio).

my planet earth went through... they charged me and then I got the email saying my order was canceled and that I wasnt charged... I am still waiting for the charged to be credited back from borders.
