My walmart super center had no $2 dvds anywhere in the store. I was kinda disappointed cause that was what I was after today but I ended up getting some pretty good deals at others stores so it kinda made up for it.

I picked up 20 of the $2 titles (all I could find that were in widescreen), and for my sole fullscreen purchase, I had to get the Borat with T-shirt combo for $2.

It wasnt really a deal. He just was dishonest and took advantage of a Wal-Mart employee.

By the time I got to Wally World everything was pretty much picked over. I got Borat FS, Taking Lives Unrated WS, Miami Vice WS, for $2 a piece, and what appeared to be the last copy of Superbad Unrated WS for $6.

Not a great BF this year, but not terrible either, mediocre overall.

In addition to ads (and I didn't check everything)
$2
Tenacious D - plenty left
Transformers with some mask or other.
Boiler Room
Rocky Balboa
Perfect Storm
$6 - The Good Girl/Bad girls 2 disc pack
Also saw the Peter Pan, Pirates, X-Men and Ratatouille 2 packs at $10
A fair amount of other titles left including Hulk, Hot Fuzz (no Borat!)- store (Ashford Dunwoody, Atlanta) was quiet.
This was a couple of hours ago, worth a trip if you are close.
I picked up Tenacious D (was shopping for a Flip and a DVD player)

All I got was Let's Go To Prison- the cashier thought I was nuts to wait in line just for one DVD, but I wanted it, and everything else they had I'd already gotten last year for $2.88. Found a bunch more at Big Lots.

Got to mine at 10:30am - the Doorbuster DVDs were in special displays in an aisle far from the A/V department - for you who say your Wal-Mart didn't have sale DVDs, I am guessing you just didn't see where they were set up

Picked up:
Miss Congeniality (WS Deluxe)
Bad Girls (Extended Cut)
Wedding Crashers (Uncorked Edition)
Blade (New Line Platinum)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (WS)

passed over:
Miss Congeniality 2 (FS)
300 (FS)
Alexander (FS)
Spiderman 3 ($9)
Incredible Hulk ($9)

One of the sale displays was for BluRay, but there was no price posted. The only remaining title that interested me was The Untouchables - passed it under a price scanner and it showed $19.96 so I put it back.

At 10:50am, two Wal-Mart employees barreled through the browsers and pulled off all the Doorbuster tags off the displays. This alerted me to get to the register before the prices might go up.

Where was it set up at in your store? I checked everywhere except the food department. I didn't think to check back by the frozen foods.. damn.

They were by the candy - last year I found them in the main walkway through the clothing department.

You got Michael Clayton for $2??? It was $6 here, and all in Foolscreen, so I passed on it.

What a useful reminder of why I despise Wal-Mart. Nothing is marked with a price, just some carboard displays strewn all in the middle of an aisle with a bunch of blue-haired old ladies blocking every possible means of getting close enough to see them. One woman had at least 100 DVDs in her buggy - no doubt planning to re-sell for profit. When I finally do get close, all that's left are full-screen versions of what I already own or old WB snapper case releases. For $2, it's what you'd expect.

All these where in the same display with the other titles mentioned. They were all marked 'promo', so maybe some where more than $2:

Atonement (fs)
No Reservations (ws/fs)
United 93 (fs)
A bunch of Stallone WB snapper titles
I Am Legend (fs)

I came out at 6:30 am for this? I'd hoped to pick up Iron Man on Blu-Ray, but money is tight - so perhaps it was just as well they were sold out. I spotted the last copy of Indiana Jones, but I just knew I'd be rebuying it in a BD box set down the line, so I couldn't even justify $15 (not that it was even labelled that price to begin with). It's not the be all end all - Iron Man BD will be that price sometime next year, I'm sure - but I would have GLADLY payed $8 more to avoid that hassle. Should have gone the Amazon route, but nothing else was essential enough to get an order up to $25 for free shipping.

yep. and posts like his are sad. people with nothing better to do but try to steal from stores. what's sad is it's usually people who can afford all that crap to begin with that do it.
