I was at a Best Buy a few days ago, and I asked an employee and he said they were just giving away posters -- the same posters that you can get if you preorder it there.

Do you think it's necessary to pre-order it, or can I just go into a store when it opens the day of release and find a copy of the steelbook version?

Does anyone know if the B&M's will be selling Dark Knight for the Cartrivision?

I'm sure you'll have no problem getting it on release day. I thought for sure that the Iron Man Steelbook would be impossible to find there after release week but my FYE still has 50-70 copies.

They cancelled mine too. Email said it has been discontinued.

Obviously this is a YMMV but for those who can't wait until Tuesday, you may want to check your local Sears. I passed through one today and they had the SD and BD versions for sale...at full retail price. I'll wait ;)

Its usually when a store opens at midnight on the day of release to sell an item legally as early as possible.
Seriously though, a buddy of mine works for Best Buy and his store isnt going to be open, but he heard that some of the stores that were going to eb open were going to give away a blueray player or two as well as some copies of the dark knight on blue ray. Take it with a grain of salt, as it is definitely not confirmed.

When Best Buys do midnight releases, do you have to buy the DVD to get the freebies? :D I really wanna buy the DVD @ Target.

And do I have to call my local BB to find out if they're doing the midnight release? It opened up pretty recently, so I'm not sure if they'd get to participate in this.

Maybe the Sunday ad will have some more info. If it's just a poster, sleep will be more important to me. Thanks all!

This is the biggest release of the year for me and being a Bat-fantaic (main email is Batkruse@___.com) So as a collector, I want to get all the goodies and specials so I am hoping for a consolidated post :D2: of all of the specials and which stores they are respectively going to be located at....I don't mind dropping the holiday dough on myself but I just want to know which items are going to "VHTF" and which there will be a stockpile of....Thanks in advance to everyone for the help.
