I already opened it when they lowered price. I just emailed them and they are giving me a 51 dollar refund. There is something where if the price difference is over a certain amount and within a week I believe they still price match.

I emailed them about the $5 price decrease with a Looney Tunes set, and asked for a refund, and they said "sorry" and wouldn't give a refund. I'd have a big fit with $51 though...

I posted my standard F&G set on Amazon as soon as I ordered this and already sold it. $40, not too shabby. $28 upgrade, Nice.

Even if a retailer gets a psychotically good deal (say, 60% off) then to make anything resembling profit they'd still want to sell it around $80+
Most retailers get more like 40-50% off though anyway.

So I was gonna save up my money for this (I'm currently trying to buy an iTouch), and now it's back up to $130! :*(
And it's Cyber Monday!
Grrr. Do you guys think the price will ever go down that low again?

more than likely. put it in your cart (saved for later)and watch the price bounce around. i've got about 50 items saved like this and i see daily fluctuations all the time. when it gets cheap again pull the trigger.

I had no idea this went retail and was shocked to see it at Best Buy today. I still have zero regrets about buying this years ago, though. It is an awesome set and maybe the best DVD set I own, beating out several of the other region sets I have.

Wow. Sometimes Amazon amazes me. I ordered it the other day when posted and it already arrived today. That was with the free super saver shipping.
The set/packaging is nothing short of awesome. Totally lives up to the hype.

The discs are in cardboard slots without any protection. Most of my discs are scratched. I'm trying to decide whether to contact Amazon, or Shout Factory. I am NOT happy.

My set shipped yesterday, and arrived today, and I chose the free Super Saver shipping.
Haven't had a chance to inspect the discs yet, but glanced through the yearbook itself and this is seriously awesome. A special edition geek's wet dream.

Oh, yea. The yearbook itself is delicious, but I am so upset over the condition of my discs. The scratches MIGHT be superficial, but they don't look it.

I got mine today, sold the other set for $35, and, while I agree the discs are just shoved in the slots unprotected, the yearbook is absolutely stunning. I simply can't imagine a better special edition DVD.

Although I have never seen a single episode, I have heard nothing but praise about this show. When the set showed up at $67.99, I was nevertheless reluctant to spend that much on a blind buy. But now, I am really regretting not taking the dive. Woe indeed.
