They had South Park Seasons 1-10 for $9.99 or so last year.. that's all I saw worthwhile then. This "sale" is pathetic. Target has cheaper prices on Simpsons and Family Guy right now.

Will Best Buy price match on Black Friday if I buy items from them today?

You're best bet is to purchase items that are not doorbusters. That's what I did last year. At customer service one of the managers came by and made a fuss for the price overrides. But because they weren't doorbuster DVDs he caved in and made the changes.

On BF last year, the customer service desk was actually CLOSED until 2pm at 2 different BBs that I went to. They specifically said that all staff would be dedicated to helping the floor and registers and CS questions would have to wait til that afternoon or the next day...not sure if that was just my area (Ontario and Eastvale stores) or if this is something more widespread.

my local store in city of industry, CA closes up customer service for the entire day. it's been that way for the last couple years now. same reason given.

We had some douche come in first thing in the morning last year on the day after with a return. We told him he could definitely return it...but he'd have to wait in the huge line. I'm not sure if he did or not.

Not bad, esp if the 16.99 blurays are good. 9.99 is a great price for Transformers. I doubt I will bother with the crowds for this though.

Is it just me, or do none of the stores have The Office Season 4 on sale? I seem to recall Season 3 going on sale last Black Friday, and it was released in the same timeframe last year as Season 4 was this year.

I may be wrong but I think The Office season 3 went on sale a few days after Christmas. I remember buying it from Target last year for $19. So maybe season 4 won't be on sale til then.

Hmm... that $19 amount sounds right. That's probably when I got it, not Black Friday. Maybe Season 4 will go on sale in the after-Christmas sales.

EDIT: I just checked the after-Christmas 2007 ad for Target (which I found here using Search), and sure enough it listed Season 3 for $19.

Actually... up until about a week ago I was sure yesterday was Thanksgiving. Stupid non-calendar date holidays!

The DVDs in the BF ad are available for ordering from Best Buy online. If you have the Premium Rewards card shipping is free.

I don't have Premium Rewards, and since they aren't allowing in-store pickup on their BF DVDs and I don't want to pay shipping, I guess I'll pass on this. The only BBY BF stuff I'll be getting are a handful of things Walmart has that I can pricematch easily. From what I've heard, Walmart appears to be the only store who will pricematch others on BF.

I used to love Black Friday shopping... especialy when Circuit City used to have all their $13.99 cd's selling for $9.99. BB should do something like that someday... I've been disappointed with all of these electronics places Black Friday ads the past few years.
