That's happening on a lot of titles.

I just tested it again and it's still working for me.

Ok, so maybe it's a two-time use code.

I'll hold off on using it until I'm totally sure that I'm done with the sale this time around.

Of all the holiday's to call bullshit, this is the least of them. Show some respect, sheesh.

Anyway, small order from a few days ago:

Title: Le Doulos
Price: $20.97

Title: Le Deuxieme Souffle
Price: $20.97

Title: Pee-Wee Playhouse: Christmas Special (2004)
Price: $4.87

Total: $46.81

Gotta keep my Melville current!

it's a shame that dvdplanet won't match DD's prices. band of brothers has gone down to 54.85, before coupon at DD, while at dvdplanet, it shows up as 78.11 on the front page and 69.96 via search.

I'm seriously glad I bought some of my Blu Rays from DVD Planet when I did. Everything I ordered, including Heroes and Band of Brothers increased by about $10 each within the last day. Is DVD Planet increasing their prices knowing that most people ordering from them and not DeepDiscount is primarily because they have store credit?

If so, that's pretty rotten of them.

I agree though, I've noticed a ton of things that have increased just over the past day or two.

Perhaps just paranoia but with the site seemingly having issue after issue the past month(s), it seems as though it will eventually be a casualty. Like mentioned, I'd imagine a good portion of their loyal customers remain due to store credit with prices not being as competitive versus DeepDiscount and places like Amazon and Best Buy.

There are likely going to be some changes in the retail/online market in the next year and the last thing DVDPlanet may be able to exploit and take advantage of is customers already accumulated store credit. It wouldn't surprise me to see them raise/keep prices higher in hopes of people having to use their store credit. I always found it odd that the same company ran two seperate companies specializing in the same exact thing with DVDPlanet being the lesser.

Well, DVD Planet canceled my order for the Hellboy Blu-Ray SE. I had an inkling that would happen after DDD pulled it yesterday. Nuts. There is a Guillermo del Toro online chat on 11/23 through BD-Live.

Is this thing really discontinued, or are DDD and DVD Planet just saying that because the manufacturer isn't allowing them to discount it?

Sucks that they did this. I had 8 Blu-ray titles in my wishlist. I was waiting to place my order since I figured I only had one coupon code (Save) to use and that would be it for me. All but one went up in price. Counting Band of Brothers those 8 titles went up $26-$28 even after the 25% off. So I ordered Band of Brothers from DD and will say the heck with the rest. Even though I still have at least $800 in credit left with them. I will just wait and see what happens with the next 20/25% sale. I will just pick up those 5 new releases 11/11 & 11/18 from DD or from BB when they go on sale.

Man, this really sucks. I had to dismiss like 30% of the blu-rays in my wishlist because of price hikes. It's one thing to raise prices before a big sale, but to raise them DURING a sale is terrible business. If you go on dvdaf's price comparison, they still have the old prices listed, so you can see how much they went up from yesterday.

There Will be Blood Blu Ray has slowly climbed in price. I think it's gone up about $6. That's horrible.

Anyone had any luck with additional codes for DVD Planet? I spoke to customer service rep and they said they only have one code (25OFFSALE). She said she thought it was for multiple use - but i've only been able to use it just the once.

whats the deal with dvdplanet removing stuff totally from the site ? I don't quite understand the logic really. They do not want you to order items ? I noticed Twin Peaks gold set is nowhere to be found. I was thinking about placing another order for this and poof its gone. I had it in my wishlist and poof aswell.

I have about $170 left in store credit. I am starting to be concerned they are getting close to folding the tent and those of us with credit are going to lose it entirely. So i am thinking of spending it all and moving on to greener pastures.

i think it's just their search engine has been screwy the last few days. I noticed even if you put the exact title in, it may not come up in the results

it's faster to use dvdpricesearch.com and follow their links directly to the title
