Actually there are more, eg the Cassavetes' five film box set is also 54%.

Has Wages of Fear actually been discontinued? --Peter
|
keep clicking the different genres,
Kind Hearts And Coronets, 60% off, Mr. Arkadin, 60% off as well. Many $39.95 titles are less than $20 |
Elevator to the Gallows is another good buy at $15.99

Amazon still lists the upgraded version, so I'm assuming that the original release is now OOP. |
Picked up Mr. Arkadin for 19.99. Good stuff.
I wish Criterion would snap up some more of Welles' public domain stuff. I need a new copy of The Trial. And if they could wrangle Chimes After Midnight out of its legal troubles, that'd be much appreciated. |
I'm in for Mr. Arkadin. Also Charade.
Thanks OP! |
Thanks. I'll be picking up a few.
|
I picked up Eric Rohmer's Six Moral Tales for $46.99, which is the best price I've seen since the B1G1 Criterion sale at DD a while back.
|
Thanks, OP. I ordered Salesman (along with some 3 for $10 MGM titles, in order to qualify for free shipping,)
which was one of the few Criterion titles not included in the recent B1G1F sale at DD. |
am guessing these are due to the intended Blu releases
|
Ugetsu is a good deal for $18.99 considering that neither DD or DVD Planet carry it. Too bad I already own the three titles that are 60% off.

Mr. Arkadin for $20 is an absolute STEAL.
|
No Andrei Rublev from Tarkovsky???
Bah! |
I don't think it's been posted anywhere, but right now The Red Balloon is showing up as $9.99
And Night & Fog at $12.99 ! |
I can't recommend enough Elevator to the Gallows (one of my all-time favorite films) & Pickup on South Street (A Richard Widmark great) for $15.99 each, those are two hell of a buys.

Anybody know how long this sale is going to last? I don't see a date.

Peter Becker: "We are working on Criterion editions of The Red Balloon and White Mane, which we hope to have ready for the fall of this year, but Paddle to the Sea is not currently scheduled for a full special edition." |
