These weekly threads are for the posting and discussion of that particular week's store exclusives and freebies.

These lists will likely be incomplete until Thursday or so, since DVDs are released on Tuesday and one of us needs to visit all the stores to confirm things.

Best Buy in Canada & US have an exclusive Gift Set for The Office Season 4 (similar to the Seas. 1 & 2 Severance Package and Seas. 3 Welcome Aboard sets). It includes a t-shirt, water bottle, dvd & wristband.

Target has an Exclusive Deluxe Season 4 of The Office.

Don't know what it is though.

Circuit City is giving out a stapler keychain with Office Season 4 purchases.

Best Buy is giving away True Blood sample discs with select HBO season sets (I think The Sopranos and Deadwood).

Picked up Target's exclusive "Office" Season 4 set this morning. Here's what's inside the box: (the exclusive items are the bonus disc and the small sticky notepad):

Circuit City is the one giving away the True Blood sampler discs for Sopranos, Deadwood, Rome, and Band of Brothers.

Desperate Housewives Season 4 at Circuit City is also giving away a sampler disc, whatever the heck it is.

FYE: The Office Season 4 and any other The Office Season set - Dunder Mifflen Lunch cooler

Also Every major store is giving away a Megatron 2 disk set (copying Target's Optimus Prime) and also every store is giving away an Optimus Prime mask with the single disk sets.

Looks like a script as well. What is the script of? And what's on the bonus disc? I should probably head to Target to check this out... My BB was already out of their exclusive... Target is probably cheaper, anyway...

Anybody spot a Big Bang Theory exclusive anywhere? I assume there isn't one, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Walmart has their own version of the two live-action Transformers reissues. Both the single disc and 2-disc editions come with a sticker affixed to the outside of the package, indicating that the purchaser is entitled to download exclusive content from the upcoming TF sequel via Walmart.com. Additionally, the single-disc version comes with a Walmart-exclusive Bumblebee mask (as opposed to the Optimus Prime mask found on general release copies).

Target has an exclusive CD-ROM enclosed with all copies of Next Avengers, a theme they have been continuing since the original release of "Ultimate Avengers" in 2006.

Costco has an exclusive version of "The Office" season 4, though I can't recall exactly what it was. At quick glance, it looked like some sort of metal business card holder, but I'm not entirely sure. Whatever it was, it came enclosed in the upper compartment of an outer box surrounding the entire "regular" retail box, with the entire deal shrinkwrapped.

Anyway, that's what I found today...

BTW, TRU and FYE seemed to NOT have any exclusives on Next Avengers, even though they have had Marvel animated exclusives in the past.

Anyone check K-Mart or Borders this week?

K-mart had nothing.

Did anyone actually see the ABC sampler that supposedly came with Desperate Housewives Season Four at Circuit City? I checked 4 KC area stores and none had it... It also appears that the dvd sets they did have were re-shrinkwrapped. Perhaps they found out they couldnt release the sampler?

Its a shame about no exlusives being available with Desperate Housewives this year... the last three seasons had bonus discs available at certain retailers. :-(

I posted this in another thread, but figured I'd repeat it here:

The Circuit City ad for this week mentioned that they would have this bonus disc, the "ABC TV sampler with pilot episodes"....but when I went there, my store did not have any copies with this bonus disc...
Oddly enough, however, my Target had copies of it with the bonus disc!?

So who knows, other people reported seeing copies at both Worst Buy and Walmart with the bonus disc....it would be really odd that the one store that actually advertised the bonus disc doesn't have it...

Hey, I just found something else. I was just at FYE and they're giving away the new "Knight Rider" TV movie / series pilot free with purchase of certain TV series sets (including "Knight Rider," of course). As far as I know, this title is exclusive to them and has not been solicited for individual sale at other retailers. I picked up my copy this afternoon but haven't had a moment to give it a once-over yet. Anyway, just FYI.
