If anyone is looking for filler, The Blob remake is actually a pretty fun, well-made movie.

Picked that up as well as Buying the Cow and Wasabi to replace my non-anamorphic import.

Not bad for $3.33 a dvd, if I found these titles in a bin on Black Friday, I would certainly pick them up if they were 3 for $10. Thanks OP for highlighting this deal.

These are some of the same titles that were on sale the other day at Albertsons... Too bad they remodled all the stores here, and got rid of their DVD's...

If Sheena were widescreen, I'd be all over her... but, sadly, she ain't.

Very nice price on some medium-interest titles (but I still love 'Just One of the Guys'). Picked up 6 movies (listed below) for $20, and 'New York' magazine 1 year subscription for $9.97 (after $10 coupon), with free ship, of course.

Real Genius
Peggy Sue Got Married
Just One of the Guys
About Last Night
Chances Are
Guarding Tess

Is the sale already over? I keep trying to put 3 items in my cart, but it doesn't discount the items.. Is there a code I'm suppose to use?

Thanks for the tip! I had just purchased the Night of the Living Dead remake at Circuit City for $4.99 the day before. Typical.

I picked up:
Real Genius
Thank God It's Friday
Used Cars

To cross the $25 mark, I tossed in a great book called: Night Vision - The Art of Urban Exploration by Troy Paiva. If anyone is interested in seeing his work, here's his site:

You don't see the discount until the final page before placing the order. It shows up as a "promotional credit".

Well, I received "Peggy Sue Got Married" today and sadly it was fullscreen. I wish I had read this thread before I ordered it. I already opened it, so I guess I'll have to find a way to get rid of it.

Yeah, be sure to read the specifications on the page of the movie you're buying. While this isn't a guarantee, if the page specs don't say Widescreen, it's pretty sure the movie is Fullscreen only.

Peggy Sue Got Married: Closed-captioned, Color, Full Screen, NTSC

Screamers: Closed-captioned, Color, Dolby, Full Screen, NTSC

One of the BEST movies ever, Buddy has some of the best lines in the film... BTW, this IS F/S only... Luckily I recorded the HD version from HDnet movies a few months ago and kept it... never watch the dvd anymore

Actually Amazon says this is a WS, so if I get a FS, I'm sending it back.

I only ordered one FS, so that's all I better get!

Initially I was going to pass by this sale, but last night I pre-ordered Heroes S2 at $24.99 and need just ONE FREAKIN' CENT more for SuperSaver Shipping.

Picked up Crossroads, Peggy Sue Got Married, and Used Cars (blind buy based on Sweet Baby James Recommendation!)

My estimated shipping date (all movies in-stock) is September 2nd. ???? Release date for Heroes is August 26th, so why the delay? I've always had excellent service and quick shipping from Amazon, even on Pre-Orders and even with the free shipping. Is Amazon just covered their butts in case it's delayed?

Oh and in answer to how long the sale lasts....as of August 20th, it was still on!

For me, ever since Prime shipping came along, everything with free shipping seems to have a delayed shipping estimate. (And most of the time, it is accurate.)

The widescreen Peggy Sue has been OOP for a few years. You're getting a FS, unfortunately.

(Don't be too hard on Amazon about it -- put the blame on Sony where it belongs. It has the SAME FRIGGING UPC CODE as the widescreen version. Bunch of rocket scientists and customer service experts, them Sony guys.)
