The only caveat about this whole thing is the fact that Tropic Thunder is being released two days early, so all of you who are buying the Dvd for the free ticket will have to wait till Friday (including me). Just FYI.

I saw the Tropic Thunder ticket movies display and NOT ONE of them had a sticker of any kind about movie money. The staff, as usual, were clueless about the whole thing, even after I pointed both the display and the ad out to them. So I just didn't buy anything, I already own all those movies anyway.

I want one of those for the TT deal.. is there ANY indication on the packaging what has to be bought? Does it have to have a Tropic Thunder sticker to get the deal??

Also, what's the movie cash amount? I don't want to waste a trip over there.

The sticker has on online code on the back that is used to print the movie cash. So yeah, no sticker = no movie cash. As mentioned earlier in the thread, Team America is the only title on sale for $6.99 with the TT movie cash. The rest of the titles are all $9.99 and I would say they are all movies that can often be found on sale for under $10.

But what's the amount of the movie cash? $7.50, $10, $12.50?

YMMV, of course but I was able to convince Best Buy to sell me "Road Trip" and "Zoolander" for $6.99. They did come up for $9.99 in the system but they manually reduced the price.

For anyone that is interested, The Wire Season 5 is only $41.99 on the BB website. I decided to do in-store pick-up and save myself $3 of the shelf price.
