Does Borders charge at time of order for pre-orders? I ask, because I pre-ordered Solaris and was charged, but that comes out Tuesday so I can understand it. If I ordered something for months down the line, when would I be charged?

I'm not sure but I'll know soon because I just took a chance on a pre-order. I ordered the upcoming Buster Keaton-Short Films Collection: 1920-1923 (3-Disc Ultimate Edition) Blu-ray which is set to be released on July 12th. Kino releases rarely drop much so to get this for less than half the list price is a good deal. BTW...the list is 49.95 and Borders has it for 43.99 before coupon.

Well no matter, I just tried and the coupon does not work with June Criterions, so I just ordered the last 3 Criterions from April & May that I didn't have.

Whenever I have preordered from them (as recently as a couple months ago), they never charged until the item was shipping.

For me, it did not deduct it on the same page as the 50% off -- I had to go further into the checkout process for it to show as $0.

I had presumed Priority shipping meant Priority Mail, but my confirmation says FDE Priority 2-3 Business Days. Does that mean FedEX? If so, I may have to reconsider as they are a pain to get packages from.

Used the free postage code for each, both went through.

I had some trouble with the codes too, but they did end up working. Put the shipping code in first. It didn't give me trouble when I did that. Also, it says if the 50% code is there in the box where you input it. If you don't see it reflecting a discount on the item look at that box. You may have something that isn't eligible.
