Regarding their new in-stock promise that they will ship any item free that's on their website but not in their store: Do they charge you the current web price of the item or some other bogus higher price?

It varies. Sometimes their in-store price for not on sale items is actually less than the list price like the Springsteen set I just got with the November 24 50% off coupon with another 10% off for plus membership. The actual list price is $140 and their in-store price was $130. So I got it for $57.50 plus tax. And sometimes it's the same or more. It's a crapshoot with Borders.

I never got the free $10. I check every email and all I ever saw was $10 free with an upgrade to Borders Plus.

I may use this on The Town bd/dvd combo. The list price is $36, so that will take it down to $18, which would make it the cheapest available price tomorrow. Thanks

edit: Scratch that. Borders.com shows a list price of $40. How do they get away with that?

I've noticed some Lego sets priced $5-10 higher that the MSRP. They are free to charge what they like, I suppose, just as I remain free to purchase from them ONLY when I have a 50% off coupon...

Wonder why I didn't get a link to the 50% off coupon in my email; they sent me a 33% off one. Must check this thread more often. Metropolis on Blu-ray is mighty tempting right now, especially as my closest Borders store has it in stock.

Was thinking that as well. Forgot that it was out, until I bumped into it yesterday at a local DVD shop.

Thanks Sleepyhead55

Thanks a lot. Just placed my order for the Complete Metropolis on Blu. $20.21 shipped isn't bad at all.

Good deal. I don't usually shop at Borders much, but One 50% off in store and three items at 40% off online work for me. I wonder if they will slip any more in before Christmas.

I used the 50% off coupon last week to get "Fringe" S2 on Blu.
Reg $69.99 - $34.99 w/coupon. Best price I've seen on it.

If you're into anime, there are deals to be had online. For some unknown reason, the list price for most anime titles is 20% less than what they should be on their website. For example, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Part 3 Blu-ray has a list price of $43.99 on the website when the actual list price is $54.99.
