I was able to use the 40%-off coupon and combine it with the Sony $10-off coupon to pick up the Spider-Man Trilogy BD for $45.79. I actually got it for $35.79 since I also had $10 in Borders Bucks

Re: The Official Borders Coupon Thread volume 2 - Updated Weekly

Thank you dx23 and Kyle for posting these!
Are these coupons in store only? I wanted to pick up a box set, but it is listed as out of stock at the stores nearest to me. If I need to I'll call them up later and see if they maybe only have one on the shelf and it's not showing on the online inventory.

edit to add: I gave them a call and they don't have it in stock, I'll have to keep waiting for a good online deal here or elsewhere. (I'm looking for the David Lynch Lime Green Set, anyone know of any good deals on it?) Thank you to all who continue to post the coupons!

Yea, they are both in store only. There's a pricey book I want, but it's NIS within 100 miles of me....oh, well.

How's Borders.com in fulfilling pre-orders? Do they ship before the release date or the same same an item is released? I'm asking this because I pre-ordered Akira BD and I don't want to get the second printing.

I pre-ordered The Dark Knight and I got it 3 weeks after it's release date. That was my only experience with pre-orders from Borders.

I've pre-ordered many items during the last few months(I've got many gift cards that I'm trying to dump before they go belly-up) and they have always shipped them the Monday before release date or that Tuesday. I also have Akira on pre-order. Hopefully we'll get a shipping notice tomorrow.

I got shipping notices for Love Hina and Kurau, but not for Akira. I think that I'll swing by Best Buy and pick up a copy just to be safe.

I haven't read the whole thread but I just used this one the other day. One time use so I'm looking for another.

25% off the list price of one item with Coupon Code: IPL1255 (Exp 9/30).

Anybody know what happens to Border Bucks orders if they get canceled? I ordered Sukiyaki Western Django Blu-Ray almost a month ago with the 30% coupon, and they haven't filled it yet. I don't want them to cancel the order, and I'm screwed out of my Border Bucks...

Unfortunately, I think you are right, if your order is canceled you will lose your Borders Bucks. That's why I always use them in the store, on an item I am sure I will keep.

Re: The Official Borders Coupon Thread volume 2 - Updated Weekly

I just noticed on the Borders website, a Borders Rewards Perks Plus membership, available for an annual fee of $29.95. Will this be the end of 40% off coupons for those who do not pay the fee?

Borders Rewards Perks includes:
• Access to everyday offers
• Value-added offerings, ranging from "up to 10% off” coupons to free shipping and the like
• A selection of offers that is updated every week
• Free membership

Borders Rewards Perks Plus includes all Borders Rewards Perks benefits plus:
• Access to premium offers
• Value-added offerings, such as coupons for discounts of up to 20%-50% off select items, free shipping, gifts, and other unique privileges and benefits
• Invitation-only VIP shopping (specified times are available in the offer details)
• Exclusive access to private events
• Information regarding new product launches
-------------------------------------------------------------
Update:
I would like to apologize for any confusion I caused with this post. I like shopping at Borders and I often use the 40% off coupon on items other stores normally do not discount. When I saw the Borders Rewards Perks Plus membership for $29.95 on the Borders website, I was worried Borders was going to do like Barnes & Noble, and start charging for a membership that included better discounts and coupons. I didn't realize that Borders Rewards is different than Borders Rewards Perks or Borders Rewards Perks Plus.
Borders Rewards membership is not changing. It is free and 40% off coupons will still be available to all members in the future.
Borders is a great store that deserves your support.

If that's true, then my days of shopping at Borders would officially be over. I can only afford stuff there with 30% or 40% off coupons.

Totally agree. I just hope for one more 40% off coupon so I can use up my gift cards.

Perks has absolutely nothing to do with Borders-specific offers.

Still, they'd have to merge BR and BR Perks, THEN justify the cost of BRP+ for people.

I think that's a little unrealistic.
