HBO's "Carnivale" $20 a season @ Amazon

Sorry if this is posted already. I thought this was too good of a deal to pass up! I picked up both, along with the pre-order of "Spaced"! ;-)

Yeah Carnivale Season 1 & 2 were really good. Except for the fact that the end of Season 2 really warranted a 3rd Season but HBO cut it loose. The problem was it wasn't one of those shows you could just jump in mid way and understand. I think it never picked up viewership as a result and thus got cancelled. Damn it. I felt empty and unfulfilled at the end of Season 2 and thus will not buy these sets and relive that again.

I felt that way about Deadwood. I loved the series but it felt like they closed it out a season too soon.

And don't get me started about Firefly.

No, they're definitely worth watching. The first season especially is absolutely amazing.

Well it was a great show - just doesn't resolve nicely AT ALL. I think the show was structured to last 6 seasons working in two-season pairings. So you really only get the first third of the whole intended concept. Frankly there is other stuff out there that you'd be better served by watching instead. I certainly don't see any replay value in owning it. A rental at best.

Fools. If you don't buy it, HBO will never let Knauf finish his epic. The postcard mailing campaign didn't work, so this must be the way!

Wrong. This is the best cinematic television experience ever. For those complaining that they won't buy because there is no closure, the best way to get this project up and running again is through DVD purchases. Get out and buy these!

Season 1 was really good, but I am stuck half way through season 2... It got really boring! Good price though!

Last week, they were $14 or $16 at Costco. I can't comfirm it today. I went with my friend and she picked up both set for less than $20.

LOL

Just stop. They're not going to finish the series.

Regardless, this show is much better than just being 'worth a rental'. It's one of the very few television shows worth multiple watches.

Ummm...I never said Fox canned Family Guy for good. I don't think I've ever even posted anything about Family Guy.
