The emails often arrive several days after the package has shipped - in my case I usually already have the goods by the time the shipping notification arrives!
Best way is to regularly check MyExpressCheckout when you know something is soon to be released.

I received Torchwood Season 1 Blu ray on Monday from Warners even though per Amazon it is not due for release until September 16. Must have been an error as SD of this title has been out for awhile. Anyway I'll have to watch it soon so I can take advantage of this early release.

Some folks got Sarah Connor Chronicles on BD a week ago... so anything is possible.
I got my copy of Dark City from them, oddly w/ the free ship they sent it in a big box via next day air.

That's awesome! I finally got my other 2 August titles a few days after the first arrived. I pre-ordered the September titles at the same time as this order so I've now got my fingers crossed that those titles arrive as well!

in advance especially if one plans their purchases (money on hand) based upon the timing. Why have a release date at all. Why not just tell everyone to use
WHV and get the titles before your neighbor down the block

Can anyone find "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.?" Back when Warner's announced they were releasing the complete series, it was on their site. I didn't order it at the time and now I can't seem to find it. I imagine that it'll turn up, but I thought I'd see if anyone had better luck than me.

First of all, as I'm sure many of you know well, wives don't take kindly to pissing money away on things like DVDs. So hold all your who wears the pants comments. That being said I use my own personal allowance money to buy discs and it's nice to be able to plan in advance.
Businesses like to depend on nice even predictable flows of money in and out. The way WHV is doing it, it's like you need a massive petty cash stash. And as we all know titles do pop up in the middle of a 3-4 month window like I plan for that can throw things off kilter. So while I'm not necessarily complaining about getting the titles early (I'm not convinced I am based upon some of the earlier complaints about WHV) you wonder why the tell the public one date and then send it out 2 to 3 weeks earlier. I'm sure BestBuy and the like don't like it sending out titles early and undercutting them. Back when Laserland was in business the owner told me the studios would freak if a store jumped the release date

Meh. Should've caught this sooner. With the 25% off instead of 30%, the limited selection (they don't have the editions of most of the movies I want, only basic editions), and the shipping costs, it's not a better deal than getting them elsewhere.
I could only find 3 that were on my wish list and the right versions, and only 2 were slightly cheaper than elsewhere, but not cheap enough to make up for shipping costs.
Oh well.

I have never seen a 2 for 1 deal at the Warner Store. But then again I had never seen a 30% off coupon before. You never know. I'm still waiting for a 50% off coupon for Barnes and Noble like they had last year.
