I keep getting this message when I try to add it to my cart:

Problem with your purchase
The attempt to add an item to your basket failed because:

* There is no valid item in your request

We apologize for any inconvenience you are having.
Also, I can't find it in a conventional search.

I probably just have to wait until they get it working.

I know one thing is for sure. the WB store now seems to have the fastest free shipping I have ever seen. The items arrived to my porch the day after they were shipped. They even beat the "you're items have been shipped" email by ten minutes or so.

That Man from U.N.C.L.E. is listed as a pre-order, with a release date of 10/21/2008. Is this different from the set from Time-Life currently available, and if so, how? (Apologies if this is discussed elsewhere and I couldn't find it.)

I believe it is the exact same set. Time-Life had exclusive rights to it for a year, I think.

I think that's probably YMMV depending upon where you live--mine usually take at least 4-5 weekdays.

Try it in a day or two. I had the same problem when they first added LA Confidential in blu-ray. The set is listed on the fifth page of upcoming DVD releases .

Having pre-ordered it from borders.com last night (fingers crossed I actually get it for under $60), their search engine couldn't find it unless I put the periods in U.N.C.L.E., so perhaps Warner Bros.'s search engine is the same.

mgoblue7 09-01-08 10:29 PM

I've tried it anyway you can imagine for a while now. It just isn't on their site at the moment. It was once, but I hesitated and haven't been able to find it since. I'm sure it'll be back.

I had been using the periods. It wasn't coming up in regular searches. But I just tried again and now it is. Still can't order it though. Probably will be able to soon. So I'll wait to make my U.N.C.L.E./Blu-ray order. I hope the 30% off will still work.

Hammer99 09-01-08 10:35 PM

How do they deal with an order that contains both in-stock items & pre-order items? Will they ship the in-stock items first, or do you have to wait for the pre-order to get them all at once? Sorry if already asked.

They ship the in-stock items.

mgoblue7 09-01-08 10:37 PM

They ship as available.

And you are right movielib, it is now showing up for me too, but you can't order it.

Thanks to you & mgoblue7.... I think I'll check them out.

Ianscloset 09-03-08 12:01 PM

Just ordered "Sex and the City" Seasons 1-6.1 (They didnt have 6.2) for $96.39 for my gf's bday. Shes been wanting the whole collection box set but with the code it is $157.50... so this was a WAY better deal for me (I am a full-time student).... Thanks OP for code... now to use it on something for me!!!

Ianscloset 09-03-08 12:16 PM

Picked up "Batman: The Animated Series" - The Complete Collection and "Sex and the City: The Movie" on Blu-ray (Again, the gf is gonna want me to get it for her and I will only buy "new" movies on BD) for just under $75... I am really tempted by "Band of Brothers" and "Speed Racer" on Blu-ray but I just cant afford it right now... hopefully this code will last awhile.

movielib 09-03-08 12:33 PM

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is now available. Put in my 30% off order for it and four pre-order BDs.

fumanstan 09-03-08 01:06 PM

I went ahead and ordered the complete Sex and the City set for my girlfriend along with the Big Bang Theory.

Hmm, I got an email saying my billing address is incorrect, but it's right for sure. It's the exact same info I used to preorder the Matrix and LA Confidential Blu-ray's. Anyone have a problem with that?

They send me that email after every order I place. I just reply to the email with the same billing address and they release the order.

You can pre-order Band of Brothers now and they won't charge you until it ships in November. Just something to think about. I didn't have the money now either but I knew that by then I would so I ordered two sets, one for me and another for a friend. It will be a Blu-Ray release for the ages I believe.

rfduncan 09-04-08 08:52 AM

Finally decided to bite:

Harry Potter Years 1-5 Giftset (BD) Blu-Ray 1 $69.97 $69.97
(Savings $29.98)
SEX AND THE CITY: THE MOVIE (BD) Blu-Ray 1 $18.86 $18.86
(Savings $8.09)
PRODUCT SUBTOTAL: $88.83
Tax: $0.00
Shipping and Handling: $0.00
ORDER TOTAL: $88.83

Not sure about the Potter set. I'll watch them, but I'm sure WB will have a super colossal UBER SET once all the films are done. If I don't crack the seal by Christmas, my Mom's present will be sitting on my self in waiting. ;)

blokhed 09-04-08 02:24 PM

I just ordered Band of Brothers and the Complete Batman Animated for about $120 shipped. $60 a set is pretty good. I wish they didn't add tax, but it's still a good deal.

Thanks, I ended up replying and got word that it was verified this morning. Weird.

SIUmark 09-04-08 08:07 PM

I preordered Smallville: Season 7 and LA Confidential last week on Blu-ray with the 30% off. I didn't know what to expect but Smallville: Season 7 arrived tonight. The case & slipcover were in excellent condition. The plastic was over the slipcover. I am pleased getting it 5 days early.

Classic Films 09-05-08 08:52 AM

I have tried to check out numerous times over the last three days and the site keeps timing out once I hit "checkout". How obnoxious! Trying to pre order Get Smart box and the new Entourage season 4.

Jamers 09-09-08 10:51 AM

There are 2 Superman Returns Blu-Rays on the WHV site. How do I know which one is the re-release with the Trude HD audio track?

KHook321 09-09-08 11:45 AM

Woohoo, great coupon! Just ordered Chuck, Pushing Daisies, and New Adventures of Old Christine for the same price that Chuck and Daisies were alone in next week's ads. :D

The one that is 24.95 specifically states on its page TRUEHD AUDIO, see for yourself here:

http://whv.warnerbros.com/WHVPORTAL/....jsp?OID=50393

The old release with plain DD is actually more expensive at 26.95, ha!

mcjw_serenity 09-12-08 11:19 AM

Warner Home Video has added their IMAX ULTIMATE COLLECTION for $79.95 ($108.92 SRP) for pre-order, but with the 30% discount you can get it for $55.97 (plus tax). Which makes it about $2.80 per title, a very sweet deal.

Of course, one has to add another item in their cart to take advantage of the coupon, but it's a great deal if you're a fan of IMAX documentaries.

Very super duper evil. I didn't even go over for anything in particular, just looking around.

Pushing Daisies S1 BD
3 different Charlie Brown releases for the BF
Batman: TAS Complete Series
Superman Doomsday BD
Ultimate Matrix BD
Silverhawks S1V1

Total? $232. Sheesh.

fumanstan 09-12-08 08:14 PM

Darn, got an email today saying my order of Sex and the City Complete Series and Big Bang Theory were backordered.

xfilekr 09-14-08 06:52 AM

I've tried to checkout several times over the past month as well and can't get anywhere...

I had this same problem about 8 months ago, switched to the computer in my game room and it was fine. On a couple of orders a few months ago, the computer in my study worked fine. If you don't have another PC to checkout on, maybe try switching browsers.

dsa_shea 09-14-08 12:45 PM

I just ordered:
Dirty Harry collection (BD) 69.97
Unforgiven (BD)16.07
How The West Was Won (BD) 18.85

Total of 104.89

It would have cost me close to that much to just pick up Dirty Harry at a B&M. Thanks again OP!!!

Cronikeys 09-14-08 10:29 PM
