Mine didn't work in Chrome, but worked in the B&N app. Weird, but mission accomplished. I was waiting for the Doc Martin Series 7 Blu-ray to come off of pre-order so the coupon would apply and stack on the the Brit TV 50% off sale.

It works in Safari. It does not work on Funko items since they have a current promotion of by 2 get the 3rd one at 50% off. It works on books and movies so far. I wa splaying around and threw in the X-Files boxed set on BD and it shaved off $60. The grand total with tax was $196 shipped. Still a too pricey with the seasons averaging about $21.79 each. Food for thought for those who cannot wait.

Does anyone know if coupons are still allowed on ship to home orders? One of the items I want can't be shipped to store and only shipped to home.

The one store I go to had issues with using a coupon on ship to home orders. This was years ago and I've avoided using the ship to home ordering in store because of this.

I did a Ship to Home during the British TV sale and they let me use my 25% off coupon with it.

I recently did ship to home and was able to use both coupon and membership discount. The price before discounts will be the in store price and not the website price if different. If something is cheaper on line you won't get that price before the discounts. For the Criterion, British TV and the hopefully 40% off all blu ray sales (next week), the prices on line and in store are the same.

I went to a B&N on my way home from work today and picked it up. I don't think I'll find a better price - I paid $67.50 plus tax!

I started watching this on Amazon Prime about 2 years ago, but then they pulled the show. I haven't been able to watch anywhere else. I was tempted to picked the sets before, but they are pricey. Not sure what extras the season sets had, but there seems to be a fair amount on this box.

The ones I saw on Amazon were really great. I look forward to watching the rest. This show deserved to be more successful here.

I hit 3 stores yesterday and used the 25% coupon 5 times, with 5 different clerks, to buy 5 books that I wanted. They had some strange inventorying at times, where 1 location had 7 copies of a book that wasn't at all stocked in either of the other two, but I got all that I wanted (at least until the next coupon), so I'm happy.

I had 2 problems, but they worked out. First was that the last printed coupon blew out of my pocket (there was a lot of wind yesterday) and I searched for it for about 10 minutes before finally locating it.

The second was that I was trying to exchange a 6th book, that was an online order. I wanted a straight exchange, as the copy they sent had a tear of over an inch in the front cover, but the newish clerk wanted me to pay the difference between the online + coupon price vs. the full msrp in store, which was over $24 more than I'd paid online. I, as politely as I could, told her that I didn't think I needed to pay the difference on a straight trade for the exact same title, and perhaps we could contact the manager? Fortunately, she did, and the manager thought my request a fair one.

So all's well that ends well and a great thanks again to hariseldon for posting the code and info that made it all possible!

Since getting damaged stuff from them is pretty much the norm for me - I usually just buy it again in the store and then return the damaged one with the in-store receipt in order to avoid these kinds of arguments with clueless cashiers. The only catch is you have to wait until the next day before using the store receipt for the return. Apparently the in-store sales aren't fully registered in their system until the next day (another example of B&N's inability to use 'technology'). They seem to have no issues with accepting damaged items from the store for returns, so they're none the wiser that the items actually came from an online purchase. They've never even made a point of it - probably because so much of the inventory in-store is already banged up.

Does the friends and family coupon work multiple times per account in store? I believed it when it said one time use but would love to go back for something else.

Also wondering if anyone knows how the in-store sale info is communicated to physical stores. The only BD store somewhat close to me doesn't have a movie/music department but will order items for me so I can use my member discount. Will they know about the 40% off sale or, if not, is there some simple way I can politely alert them to the fact?

I don't think anybody knows for sure. His last post was in July and he had mentioned some some family issues back in May in the thread

I think everyone is hoping it's a temporary break, but after 16 years at DVDTalk and 8 years as the runner of this thread I'm sure it gets a bit taxing.
Even for the shorter period I've been able to help out, after the July and Nov/Dec sales it's almost exhausting
